  1. ******* ***** mate, some old ***** keyed up my s2 once for parking half on a curb, rear quarter to front wing ******. if you find out who it was, put a brick thru the window, its the only language they understand, i did... no more trouble
  2. hmmmm, it's gonna take some blagging.
  3. Gee, how does she ride, I'm trying to figure out what coilovers i should get, the street ones you got look like fairly good quality, but im on a budget so am thinking the cheaper FK coilies might be an option, I don't want to knacker the comfort too bad though.
  4. Come on Ken, Skodas are the same under the body as a VW or a Seat or an Audi, just like a Vauxhall is a Opel or a Saab and a jaguar is a ford etc etc etc. Skoda never really deserved the reputation they once had, but modern cars are all pretty damn good these days, I've not long since bought a 2002 octavia estate. it's essentially a mk4 golf estate, same engine, same running gear etc etc etc, but the equivalent golf would have cost me double. it's a no brainer. It really just comes down to the badge on the front, and anyone who would judge you or your car based on a badge is a shallow ignorant fool. incidentally, i think my octavia may be the best purchase I've ever made. good luck mate, whatever you decide.
  5. Spot on mate, cheers for that
  6. Gee, ive just taken delivery of a new front wing, as my current one has been scraped to **** by some kids on a micro scooter. ive never taken a panel off before, is it straight forward, or am I likely to run into something more complicated? cheers mate, car looking Mint.
  7. Gee - 25th January 2012
  8. I was thinking rotiforms for mine, or maybe these fifteen52 tarmac's but to be fair you've pretty much hit the nail on the head, very nice wheels dude
  9. Started reading this thread last night, and only just finished. Gee..... Respect. **** hot wagon mate. Ive just bought a 2002 estate in silver (110 horse tdi though) and you have given me all kinds of ideas which i dont have time or skill for. My wife shall come to hate you. Great job dude. New wheels are gonna look sick.
  10. Hello everyone. I've just bought my first ever skoda. Ive always been a VAG guy and have had lots of GTI's but common sense (and the wife) has prevailed. So ive got a 2002 Octavia estate 1.9 tdi. All seems well so far bjt ive already a couple of niggles which i suspect are probably common faults. 1. Theres a sort of ticking buzzing noise coming from the glovebox area. it goes away above a cerrain speed or revs, not sure which yet. I think its the a/c. 2. Rear washer jet isnt working. The pump is going so im probably piddling fluid into a nice water trap somwehere. 3. The high water temp light came on yesterday morning when i started it up. Must be a sensor fault. Aside from that the tray the engine us hanging off and cracked. But i should be able to sort that out. I'll do a sesrch on this later but what do people think of these tuning boxes? Ive never used one or have any idea what they do to boost power. Ive seen lots for sale at the 350 mark but ive also seen one on ebay new for 50 quid. Wtf? Are these things a bad idea for an older engine with 100k on the clock. Cheers for any relplies. I look forward to picking all your brains.
