  1. Yep mine turned out to be the compressor that was at fault, all fixed now though
  2. Thanks for that mattvrestate, will have a look this weekend.
  3. May be its the time of year as my 2010 tdi cr170 air con seems to have given up the ghost as well. Took it for a re-gas and was told it had plenty of gas and the pressure was OK and no leaks, then to top it all off there appears to be no fault codes registering either.
  4. Will let you know the side parts if they fit when I get them, but I think they are 1K0915335B and again I think the lid is 1K0915443A but not 100%.
  5. Thanks silver1011. Thought the reason would be down to cost saving, will keep an eye out at the local scrappers for the parts. Cheers
  6. I'm not worried about the battery, the only difference is the Amp Hour rating and it's larger. All I'm asking and would like to know is can the battery enclosure from a pre-face lift car be fitted to the battery tray in the face lift.
  7. Battery was bought from TPS the trade parts place so the battery is the correct one for the car from their records.
  8. Right had to replace the battery on my Mk2 fl vRS today only problem is the jacket for the old battery doesn't fit the new one as the new battery is over an inch longer. Does anyone know if the plastice battery box housing/cover from the pre-facelift fit the tary in the facelift? I know the battery is the same size as my dad had a pre-facelift and that had the plastic battery box on it.... would messure it all up but he no longer has the car. Only want to know as it just makes the enginebay tidier and I don't really want to see the battery. Or does anyone have any other suggestions? Cheers Aeron
  9. Very nice, that's me sorted out for the next time I change the car.
  10. There's a little independant place in Meopham, the turbo on my dads octy went one time when they were there visiting my mums Aunty and they were very helpfull.
  11. Best colour there is, great wheels and the finish looks spectacular.
  12. Don't knnow if this is any good, my dad has a 27 Octavia and the blower stopped working in that and all it was was a relay that had packed up. Only thing was he had to take it to an independant auto electrical place for them to run diagnostics on it at £60 and the relay was only a few quid.
  13. Thanks for the welcoms guys.
  14. Hi, New member here, owned Vauxhalls for over 20 years and it was time for a change. So having always liked the vRS I bought a nice little 2010 TD vRS in Race Blue (the only colour I would look at) a month ago and been well peased with it so far. Cheers Aeron
