hi took advantage of insurance offer over the Christmas break 29/12/12 fine no problems at all but you must let the insurance run its course ie the seven days and start your own as the temp insurance lapses by law you cannot have two insurances on one car

hi I had a letter from the dealer where I bought my new monte dec 2012 (Derek slacks Teesside) inviting me for a free safety check I have it booked in for wed 17th of this month is it a con or what (after watching bbc tonight your money their tricks)im now a tad reluctant the car is on three years free servicing any one out there had the same offer from their dealers and had a check done they want the car for around about 1 hour thanks

hi I had the them fitted to my monte by the dealers free so they then came under the dealer warranty cover (if sticky every peels highly unlikely but covered ) dealers idea hope this helps

hi yes be more visually aware im deaf and wear two hearing aids and can assure you if you try I cant / couldn't hear you officer you get a long lecture about you have to be more aware etc because of your disability so best say nothing and take the points been there done that got the lecture got the points (that's in the car ) totally opposite riding my motorcycle (fjr 1300 ) cant wear my aids under my helmet so deaf as a post so depending on the speed / offence they seem to be a bit more lenient you still get the lecture caught speeding in the car prosecuted, on the bike let off both offences unmarked police cars following for a mile or so same excuse couldn't hear sirens but saw lights in front grille sorry officer,

hi called into the dealers today (after near collision ) to check for a replacement horn for my 2012 monte as the current one is shockingly poor apparently my monte is fitted with a single high tone horn and was told that there was no wiring to connect a low tone horn as well and if I fitted another horn it could / would void the warranty (wiring issues not enough power ? ) having got the car on the 3 yr plan not so sure what to do but the said they could fit and wire a low tone horn if space was available for £176 +vat seems very expensive the low tone horn is £46 +vat any suggestions out there thanks

hi the foam is a waste of time and money it does not do sidewall damage all I can suggest you do is locate the puncture if tyre is still inflated deflate half way and remove the screw apply lots of superglue onto the screw and drive it back into the hole wait a few mins re inflate bobs your uncle if you can see screwhead dab of black paint this does work it got me off the services on the m42 and home about 100 mile (on my motorcycle fj1300 )

hi have read the leaflet for the bog standard swing radio fitted to my monte 2012 have I must have read it a dozen times (oap moment ) but cannot find any ref to changing the time clock setting im not sure if its in with the maxidot settings any help suggestions most welcome thanks

sorry in my case all my cars have had mudflaps just gives that edge but this car (monte) without flaps its the dirtiest car ive ever owned the crap thrown up buy the wheels is unreal (is it the low profile tyres/ stance) and for someone who is not into cleaning anthing is an improvment but having said that in my case it could be an advantage might have a re think

same thing could be said about a yellow octavia each to their own i guess

hi to the plumber the copy types you were sent were the made of pvc or kaylon they look smart i deffo want black priced at £64.95 well im assuming thats for the set not really bothered about a group buy the cost & setting up in the manufacturing is well worth it i want mine now now now please keep updates thanks, hopefully they keep to their word and you gets yours free for being the test case in betweener or something like that

are the horn /horns available thanks having read they are better than the monte,s peep

hi i had my monte delivered on the 29th dec 2012 and had the dealer fit the side strips they are darkgrey/black in colour they are not a perfect match for they monte,s skirting but damm close the skirting is gloss and the strips are like a satin finish check out my picture in the section off topic practice post with pictures i hope page no 10 ish hope this helps

hi vast improvment made today bought the new style badges for the alloys,bonnet & rear hatch and fitted them all today also found in a vehicle upholstery shop some material very close match to the red seats pattern fitted to my monte cut out and stuck onto the steering wheel logo looks well and more importantly satisfies me i can now settle down and enjoy my monte (not that i didnt in the first place ) even more i thank you all for your comments good and bad and i seem to have upset several people that was not my intention but my feelings anyway i supose somepeople will still be bitter but who gives a to++
