I've got exactly te same symptom on mine. Mines going in to be serviced on Wednesday so if they find anything ill let you know.

Have the front hubs checked for run out. This is a know fault on the ford mk1 focus where the hubs become out of shape and eventually go through pads and discs all the time.

I'd recommend vwaudi tech in Chelmsford.

What sort of drop would you recommend then damian? Are the apex ones anygood?

Im after a suspension kit for my mk1 octavia vrs. What suspension kits would you guys recommend and why? I dont really want to go the coilover route tbh. And i would only want to lower max 40mm.

Think it was including vat. The kit included oil, oil filter, sump plug, fuel filter, spark plugs, pollen filter and air filter

Hi there my mk1 Octavia vrs is need of a full service I rung tps and euro car parts for a price on service items. Think tps came in at £81 and euro's came in at £76. Just wondered what you guys would use on a 2002 100k vrs? The ecp stuff is all Bosch items so they say.

Hi there, wondered if any of you guys could help me. I've been thinking of getting a cupra r front splitter for my mk1 vrs i just wondered if there is a how to guide on here on how to install it? Also what are the like to do? Danny

I'd replace the clamp as these are know to fail, hence why RAC patrols carry them there vans.

Tried the site with no luck. Tried prestons skoda of chelmsford who wanted to charge me 90 quid for what was the wrong pipe and they reckon they couldnt send it back lol. So i tried tps and they keep it on the shelf. £39 with the vat. Cant believe its £39 for s bit of plastic lol.

Today I was replacing the breather hose on the cam cover for a silicone replacement from creation motorsport when the plastic pipe which goes down to under the intake manifold decided to break. Are the mk 1 octavia vrs's prone to the vacuum hoses failing and does anyone know of a kit available from vw or skoda to replace them all?
