  1. Nice, my wife loves hers especially the heated seats! Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  2. The Citigo along with the majority of manual cars have a clutch switch. Your car wouldn't crank if this was faulty. I don't think it's your crankshaft position sensor either as the car starts. Your cheapest option might be to get a cheap code reader that covers VW off eBay but this doesn't always give you the exact cause. If you are not mechanically minded it might be a better option to get a reputable local garage or mobile mechanic to look at it. This might be the quickest and cheapest option in the long run? 3. So is that Skoda getting worse or VW getting better?? Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  4. Skoda dealers have a better reputation than VW dealers (in most cases)! Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  5. That's what she wants but I keep telling her she will want her heated seats until Spring! Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  6. Can't go by the price they quote they offer well below market value! Prices are low at this time of year but they do seem extra low on small cars. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  7. Rattle has been sorted by the Bodyshop, apparently they hadn't fitted some bit of foam at the top of the wing? It is fine now and the scratches have been done as well. Wife is happy to have her heated seats back but she did enjoy the new Toyota Aygo hire car she had for 3 weeks! Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  8. The repair was done by a Skoda approved body shop and we have had a satisfaction guarantee from Skoda. The wheel was sent away and checked and refurbed at a cost of £120. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  9. It was touch and go, her 75 Elegance was 3 yrs and 1 week old when she has the crash and had gone to 13k miles that day. The insurance company sent someone out to look at it and they then asked the body shop to start stripping it to make sure there wasn't further damage. The only thing we weren't too pleased about was they didn't replace the road wheel it was refurbished! Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  10. No airbags went off, she was hit at 90 deg to her direction of travel with the road wheel taking most of the impact making the car undrivable. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  11. Got to take the car back to the body shop on Friday to have a couple of scratches sorted so will speak to them then. So I take it there are no common rattles from that area?
  12. But they are a body shop and they didn't touch the inside as there was no damage there, so why would they look at the rattle??
  13. My wife has just got her Citigo back after it was hit whilst she was turning right at a roundabout. Most of the impact was taken by the NSF wheel damaging the bumper and wing as well as the steering and suspension. The repair took 3 weeks and cost £4K! The car is fine now but has gained a loud rattle from the passenger side of the dash/A post area! I guess something has been disturbed? Has anyone got any ideas? I doubt her warranty will cover rattles on a 3 year old car? It is annoying as it was fine beforehand! Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  14. Wife's 3 year old Elegance was in for service and 1st MOT today, it has to go back in 2 weeks for a new heat shield under warranty, shame they don't keep them in stock! Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  15. My wife's 2012 has cruise control, 2nd best thing after the heated seats she says! Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
