Thanks for the replies people, looks like the next owner is going to get the problem as the Superb is being taken off me (company car), going to miss all the toys on my Elegance model, and its space and cruising ability but its going !......being replaced by Audi A4 2.0tdi S-Line Auto, hope its as good as the Superb......Thanks again.

Have run my 05 Elegance 1.9tdi 130 for 97,000 miles with no problems what so ever, then first of all the regulator on the rear drivers side electric window went and now my indicator "clicker has now got a mind of its own, clicking when it feels like it, regardless of whether i'm indicating or not !!, anybody else had this problem ?, is it easy to fix ?

Hi all, I currently have a Superb Elegance 1.9tdi 05, and am thinking of changing for a Octavia, but am unsure which one to go for choices are VRS Diesel, or 2.0TDI Elegance DSG, I do about 40k per annum, which one will I happier in ?..I look forward to your views...thanks.

Had my Superb now for nearly 2 years and have clocked up 80k, have had no problems to date and am fully converted to Skoda. Have had many company cars to date from manufacturers such as Ford, Volvo and Renault, this is the first car that has only had to go back to the dealers for servicing, and no problems inbetween !!. Agree that the handling could be better but as a motorway cruiser it is first class, am now starting to look at my next company car and must admit I might not look at another Superb, but the Octavia vrs diesel instead, but will I miss all those toys ?

Thanks for the replys people, looks like its the front wheels then, this is what happens when you dont go to your usual place for new tyres !....although this is th least of my problems, as some idiot has decided to screwdriver my lock, car was deadlocked and said "idiot" was unable to get in, still made a right mess.

Just had new front tyres fitted and straight away had vibration through steering wheel at Motorway speeds, took it back and had balancing checked and was told it was ok, but the rears might need doing, why would the rears need doing now ?, car was ok before new tyres were fitted !.....Superb has now done 76k and was wondering if anything else could give me the vibration ?.....look forward to any ideas...thanks Superb Elegance 1.9tdi 05

Always use BP Ultimate in my cars since 2004, hate putting anything else in !, on the occasions that i have been caught "short" and have had to put normal diesel in the car seems to be sluggish and very noisey. You do need to fill up a few times to feel the benefit. Got short this week and had to fill up with Esso diesel, car hated it plus I had clouds of black smoke which you dont get with Ultimate. I do about 40000 miles a year so having the car running smoothly is a good thing, whether its worth it with a A to B car is up to the individual. Superb Elegance 130PD 05

Have been running my 1.9tdi 130 on Ultimate diesel for the past year (done 50k), car runs so much better on it, is a lot more responsive using Ultimate and you dont get clouds of black smoke !, have had to use "normal" diesel on a few occasions and car always seems to feel sluggish with the engine sounding a bit like a tractor !! If you can afford it I would say use Ultimate.

Im with Baker, mudflaps make the Superb look like an old biddy's car !! lol

Had this happen to me twice, first time it happened Skoda Dealer repaired it while I waited, mechanic just cleaned it out but said if it happened again they would replace it, although he did warn me about playing "copied" discs, apparently they can upset the changer !...second time it happened just unloading and then loading it back up again seemed to rectify it.

Had my Superb Elegance 1.9tdi 130 for 10 months, done 40k and had 2 services, 20k seems to be the norm for my variable servicing, I do mostly motorway miles. Just had rear pads replaced at 35k but front pads still have 50% left ??, typical rep !..dont use my brakes much !!!

Had the same problem getting hold of this oil too, no garages sold it, ended up at Halfords, got Casrol Edge 5w-30....nearly

Got it on my Elegance too, only problem is that its not deep enough for sunglasses to fit into !!
