  1. That's good news. I was worried the springs would devalue it a little.
  2. I'm thinking of selling my 2007 race blue tfsi vrs with 155k on the clock and wondering what it's worth and whether to put back to standard. It's got Fsh and I've just had cambelt and pump done. I've put h&r springs on and eibach front and rear anti roll bars. Everything else it std. Should I put back to std or sell as it is. Advisent would be appreciated
  3. HI oska. The one I have is digital anot you adjust the jumper to change the the amount of tuning you want. It's a good bit of kit. I just want to go to next level not. Pm me if interested. Thanks for replies
  4. I have had a bluespark tuning box Fitted to my tfsi mk2 octavia which has been very good and am now selling due to wanting remap. My question is will a remap be much better?
  5. I did it last week. Remove headlight to see what I was doing and removed the lower grill side pieces and using a 1/4 drive socket with torx bit to undo the two top bolts and the lower third bolt was accessed via the hole under bumper. 20 min job each side.
  6. Euro car parts. £45 each. Brought two myself last week
  7. I replaced mine by taking out the head light and going in through the lower grille to undo the two top screws. You can undo the lower screw via a whole in the underside of the front bumper. Take the lamp out of the lower grille also, you have to unscrew the back off the fog lamp to get it out. It's a but fiddly but not to hard.
  8. I have the yellow powerflex insert and it's great. Makesee for better shifting. I also have a short shifter fitted which has also enhanced the shifting. Very easy to fit also. Good mod.
  9. OK. It's worth doing then. Is that from skoda. Seems cheap
  10. Ah damn if it works I'll leave ithe for now.
  11. Nice one thanks. It's the plastic part on the solenoid not the plug with the wire unfortunately. I hope this is the problem. Like I said sometimes it feels sluggish compared to others times so maybe the solenoid it not working 100% of the time due to thexpansion bad connection
  12. I had a look this morning and the electrical connector on the solenoid is broken and fixed with electrical tape. I have cleaned it with wurth electrical contact cleaner and cable tied it up for now. Hope that some fixed it. Do you know if this part can be brought separately
  13. Like I said the Eml comes on when it wants. Is it safe to drive. I ahead noticed that sometimes it's not quite as quick as others so maybe it is the solenoid failing. I'll check tomorrow.
  14. From what I remember yes around the same time
  15. OK thanks. How hard is this part to fix and how much is the part itself Just had cam belt done but should be nothing to do with that?
  16. The code I'm getting is p0010 1/2. Camshaft position actuator circuit open. Bank 1 Ps. Car runs really well and smooth idle
  17. Forgot to say it's a tfsi pre facelift I reset my el light and erased codes and drover from Ely to Milton Keynes and the light stayed off. Got back to the car after shopping and started the car and the light is on a again. I have ordered a new plug to see if it's a broken. Would the cam chain at the back of the engine cause this issue if slack. My car has done 150k after all. May call on help if that doesn't fix it if you don't mind? Cheers

  19. I have had an engine management light on for a few weeks now and on diag its suggesting its the camshaft position sensor. i have now fitted a new sensor but the light is still on. if i erase it i can drive the car for a few miles without it coming back on. to me it seems as if it could be a broken wire near the connector. can i buy these connectors and if so where from? what do you guys think? thanks
  20. im not a bad home mechanic but are the pcv and diverter valves easy to change and get at? i will budget for clutch, thanks for the advice.
  21. I've brought a 2.0 tfsi vrs with 150k on it approx 2 months ago. Car drives and starts well uses hardly any oil. My question is should I remap it. Clutch seems good also.. Thanks
