  1. Ok, 2 of them have Infinity 225/40/R18 92W tyres on, 8mm thread 1 has a HiFly HF805 225/40/R18 92W with 6mm thread and as said in original posting the 4th tyres is not legal.
  2. Got to head out, give me a couple of hours and will post details and photos of the depths.
  3. Yes. If you can arrange a courier or if you know of one I can sort then no issue.
  4. Just sold my Skoda Superb Estate. Genuine roof bars, have 2 sets keys. Live in Cardiff, Collect only £30. Not sure if they sit other models? They are dirty from being on car and hitting flies at speed but not damaged. Really easy to put on. Realise that this is wrong section, have asked admin to move.
  5. Just sold my Skoda Superb Estate, 2010 model. While owning it I replaced the alloys with 16inch. Have retained these 18 inch alloys and now for sale. They are used and have scratches. One nick on one, photos below. No wheel nuts included. 3 of them have decent thread on tyres but thats the buyers good luck. Throwing in a set of snow chains as well. Tyres on are 225/40/18. Not sure what other cars these fit, some experts here may advice. Think that covers everything, anything questions please ask. Live in Cardiff. Any questions don't hesitate to ask. Also going to put up roof bars at £30 on separate posting. You may want to check them out to. Looking for £250 and collect or happy to book courier at cost. 4 x alloys here with with Paisley is £35.75 https://www.paisleyfreight.com/alloy-wheels.php. Done my research and think this is a fair price. Alloy 1 Alloy 2 Alloy 3 Alloy 4 All 4 and snow chains
  6. Sorry to say I'm off. After 4 years with Skoda (Superb Estate) I have bought a new Hyundai Touscon. compliments to this website. Paid to join and not regretted one penny. Saved loads of money with advice given for free here. The Hyundai similar website is awful... Got some bits to sell so (alloys) so will pop in next week. Been a blast and again great website.
  7. @LS8Pilot My ballast had gone so not that easy in the end. Just replacing the bulbs themselves isn't that bad.
  8. Let me throw a bomb in the conversation. I will leave my winters on all year. Appreciate this is not the best and if I was rich i would run 2 sets but imo better to have winters on in summer than summers on in winter.....
  9. Bought 4 Nokians in the end. Bought from here (was recommended on page 5 of this thread). Just need some cold weather now.................. https://www.tyreleader.co.uk/ They are shipped out of Germany but turned up one week after order and cheaper than anyone in UK could offer price wise. Happy and thanks for advice guys, saving on tyres justifies my annual subscription here.
  10. Whats the ride and noise like? They look like my preference at the moment.
  11. Interested in overall mileage returns for the Nokian v Continental, anyone any idea? Looking here the Nokian is about 10 euro per tyre cheaper. Bought 'V' before but does 'H' make a difference? Up to 149 or 130? Don't do much over 80? https://www.tyreleader.co.uk/car-tyres-205-55-16-94-V/?s=W&m%5B9%5D=on&m%5B20%5D=on
  12. Ok, time to buy new tyres. Originally bought these tyres Continental Conti Winter Contact TS 850 - 205/55 R16 94V Anything new on the market, anything better?
  13. A pair of bulbs. There were 2 in a pack and he recommended I replace both at the same time. I am sure someone will say i could have got the bulbs for way less and done it myself and saved money but it wasn't about money, it was convenience. I know retailers get a hard time as everything can be bought on the internet cheaper but I cannot fault Halfords on this occasion.
  14. Took the lazy option and went into Halfords. Can't fault the service. £13 for the bulbs and they fitted them
  15. Hi, warning come up that this has gone. Had an issue with headlights a while back and that was complicated, is this just a simple bulb replacement? Thanks
  16. Good find this site. Was going to order some Continentals from Camskill in about 2 weeks but they are the same price on this website in euros, so 30% less. Nice. Anyone comment on wear and tear of the tyres, which gives most mileage?
  17. I am a complete numpty and it only took me about 30 minutes. Glad I did it, follow the instructions here.
  18. Good question and now the kiss of death. Working perfectly since I took apart. (touching wood quickly)
  19. In fairness they did some work at the garage and my wife was there and saw the state of the wires. it wasn't good and not something I want to spend my time on. leaving this one to the experts.
  20. Quick little update on this. Work has been manic so haven't had the time or interest in fixing this. We are lucky in that we have a small but very good local garage, they often do us favours. Wife took it down to be looked at Friday and loads of wires were snapped. Going in Wednesday to be fixed. I know nothing about cars and being a member here allows me to do some research and decide what is best use of my time. I pay my membership and it pays for itself 10 fold. I am not anti garage (dealers I am not that keen on) so thanks for help and advice and the garage can do my job for me this time. Cheers
  21. Ok thanks, will look at tomorrow once I have put a new roof on the chicken pen, what an exciting life I lead.....Now to figure out how to get the inside panel of the door?
  22. Is it this place to check that is being referred to. How can you get the whole wire out to check or you do you check as is and solder?
