  1. Hi, would you be able to take a picture of the Ibiza gear stick and gaitor if you have it please Thanks
  2. I'd take the one that's in best condition of you'd do it for £10 posted
  3. I used the black pvc pipe on mine with no problems at all, and it's a hell of a lot cheaper than fuel hose. radiator hose shouldn't be used with oil as it can break down the rubber. Not sure how long this would take with just a breather pipe though
  4. the whistle/noise on boost and the black smoke more than usual points towards a boost leak to me, turbo looks in very good condition to me. Have a look underneath for oily mess round the joins for your boost pipes
  5. Same tool I used, works a treat use it to line the clutch and pressure plate up and hold them together before fitting, that way you can just hold them by the tool (one handed)! Tighten the bolts then just remove the tool. I did mine with the engine out but would make a massive difference if the engine was in
  6. Looking at the turbo, the outlet is definitely in the wrong position. (should be pointing down instead of back towards the firewall) To me that says that the turbo has been replaced at some point in the cars life as most turbos come set up for a golf style fitment (pointing back to firewall) and need clocking before they're put onto the fabia. So of you modify the pipes then it still won't fit properly and may may be tricky to do it without rubbing on the drive shaft. And when it's time for a new turbo they won't fit the new one. The best option for me would be to clock the turbo back to where it should be. It is doable on your driveway though with pretty basic tools Hope this helps
  7. Hi guys I've just changed the engine and turbo in my vrs (asz) and want to turn it over a few times before I start it properly to get the oil round to everywhere that it should be. Is there an easy way of doing this? A fuse or relay I could pull to stop the fuel? Thanks
  8. The turbo will still make boost but it will be low and if you try and drive it, as soon as the the car expects more boost then it will probably go into limp mode
  9. Closed to start with to give a faster spool, then they open to allow more air flow to hit top boost Hope this helps
  10. With the very brief description of the problem it sounds like it could be the gearbox or dog bone mount
  11. Not sure if this one is the same but looks like it would fit http://m.ebay.co.uk/itm/161509307725
  12. I think I normally use just over 4 litres so I'd get an extra litre just to be on the safe side. And any left you can keep in your boot for top ups if needed
  13. Oh ok, do you know why it is that they don't fit? I would've thought that all the 1.9tdi 6 speed boxes would be the same fitment
  14. Does anyone have one of these short shifter kits fitted or know if they would fit a fabia vrs? http://m.ebay.co.uk/itm/171462640219?nav=SEARCH I know of other short shifters that people have fitted (b&m style) but ideally I'd want to keep the stock gear knob and looks like the fitting is pretty complex Thanks Ryan
  15. I made my catch can out of an oil separator from a range rover and a coffee tin lol It actually works quite well
  16. Most exhaust places will be able to make you up a straight through down pipe, but if you're struggling I think a lot of people rate long life very highly. I was looking into decat but I went for a mufflerectamy in the end, it doesn't give the owl noise you're looking for though
  17. It depends on the turbo that you go for and the mapping that goes with it. Might be worth messaging xman750 and tell him what your aims are and he'll be able to supply a suitable turbo at a good price. Not sure about injectors though, I've never had to look for them. Try doing a quick search
  18. Well to go a lot quicker you'd be looking at probably a gtb2260 turbo and the supporting mods to go with it (injectors, intercooler, clutch etc.) Do you know what power its making atm?
  19. Have you scanned it for fault codes mate? If not, that would be my first step to a diagnosis
  20. Remember to use silicone grease on the slide pins. Any other type of grease will degrade the rubber seals But generally cleaning and regreasing is enough. Unless there is corrosion on the pins themselves
  21. Haha Yeh that's pretty impressive, are you sure he didn't use it?
  22. It's the same thing, if it says -3 to +3 then it'll be the right one.
  23. Yeh it definitely wasn't the correct consistency and way too clear. I'll double check it again tomorrow
