alternative 16'' tyres?
avensisd4d786 replied to lacrits68's topic in Skoda Octavia Mk II (2004 - 2013)
from spending time at tyre bays and selling tyres my self etc. I don't know what its like in sweden. your best of going into a tyre place to find out. 205 55 16 would be a tyre sellers best selling size. as alot of cars come with these standard. so is 195 65 15 and 225 45 17. if you go down to 15 or up to 17 18. you have to change your wheels as you cannot fit a 15" tyre on a 16" wheel. my advice would be to stick to 16" maybe try 205 60 16 -- have you tried different brands in 205 55 16? you do not want to change to a tyre size which is not common as they wont be many to choose from and harder to get. check this http://www.tyre-shopper.co.uk/top-car-tyre-sizes -
great help guys. graham c. your the first taxi driver to say not to buy one. do you have a copy of this review in the which magazine? or take a picture and upload it on the internet so i can see it. what kind of problems? I believe that's why the Toyota is on the list as he had two carina e's 1.8 petrol and 2.0 diesel and he done 12 hour shifts comfortably. they both done mega miles 300k+ with minimum expenses.

thank you for your opinion. that's the only main response I am getting with the avensis that is dull & boring. but that's good going just changing brake pads. I take it the 1.8 was the petrol version.
