  1. Hi silver, no our car doesn't have a tow bar fitted. I would assume the 2.0 would have a slightly larger battery, due to engine size.
  2. Mine is a 2.0tsi dsg and this is the battery fitted to mine
  3. Build date I don't know off hand. I can tell you the headliner is light coloured but we have dark interior. I hope this helps
  4. Thank you. When we test drove the kodiaq without the roof on a sel and found it too dark. Which we agreed either light interior or the sunroof was a must, again personal preference. It does change the on the colour display to your chosen colour, our is set to blue. The colour display does make a big difference on a 30k+ car which should be standard. The DCC does make a difference it's ride. We have it set on comfort which driving the the new forest makes a huge difference. If you change into sport it get stiff and you feel steering weight up and gearbox goes into sport.
  5. We had a 66 plate octavia vrs in the same colour and loved it. It's nice to stand out from the crowd. our scout was one of a couple of scout they had in, it was the right engine and spec we wanted. Would have like the heater screen and canton but this was a car we could have straight away and right spec and engine for us. We have some nice options including, sunroof dcc reverse camera
  6. Good choice. I have picked up our scout plate January. We test drove the kodiaq during the dealer VIP event but the demo was a 1.4tsi sel auto, it drove well but felt slightly under powered and wanted to try the 2.0tsi, which is what we went for in the end. We bought one the dealer had and very happy with it
  7. Projector, just the main difference is in my 2012 vs it had a single bulb with shutter, this has a main and dipped beam, the dipped beam being projector
  8. Stupid question, I had a 2012 fabia cars and fitted 4300k to it but they only had single light bulbs. Just replaced it with a 60plate which doesn't have bi-halogen it has separate main and dipped beam bulbs. Does it matter what kit I use? As I was going to get the same 35w 4300k kit fitted to my previous fabia
  9. Hi Guys, I am looking for someone in the worthing area who can code my recently fitted sat nav to show info on maxidot? I had my last fabia coded when it went in for a service, would be happy to sort someone out some beer tokens for their trouble. Patrick
  10. Fitted a Amundsen+ to my octavia. Absolutely great. Problem is I fitted a Amundsen to my 2012 fabia and had the sat nav antenna under the top glovebox and it worked perfectly never lost signal. The one fitted to the octavia I have fitted the antenna according to a guide on here on a metal bar behind the centre vents and the signal seems to struggle to get it then it picks it up and it's fine, but takes a while to get there, which is a pain. Have I picked the wrong place to fit the sat nav antenna?
  11. Hi guys, Does anyone know the part no I need for the surround as I am changing from boleno to Amundsen?
  12. I had a 2012 fabia vrs and it was great, don't forget the gearbox learns how you drive, mine was a sales reps car and drove it like an old lady so was in 7th at 40mph. I didn't have any issue with kick down, just takes some getting used to, there is a split second for the box to change down a few cogs when it knows you want more power.
  13. Dab would be nice but the cd is also nice to keep. Only difference I can see is the 310/315 has a smaller screen. My boss has a 310 in his passat CC, he finds it useless, when I had the same in my fabia I found it great
  14. Thinking of changing the std stereo in my 2011 octy. I had a 2012 fabia vrs and retrofitted rns310 which worked great but the sound when listening to music wasn't great. The bolero in the octavia was day and night different when we bought it, sound is great, so don't want to lose the quality by going to a rns510 or rns310/315. The car doesn't have maxidot. Any advice guys?
  15. I have moved over to having a skoda after a year of owning a 2007 SEAT Leon Cupra, which was great fun if not a bit thirsty and expensive on everything. Deciding to try and reduce my outgoings, I revisited the fabia vrs, on paper it had everything I wanted, the only things I would lose my xenons and rain sensing wipers I had become used to on my 3 previous cars. I went up the road to visit my local dealer who had a 2012 12 plate black fabia vrs for sale, it had 3200miles on the clock, climate control, rear parking sensors, dsg box. All in all a good package and in a lovely colour. Took it for a spin and fell for it, felt just as quick pulling away as my leon did. Went back to the dealer and sorted a deal including my private plate transfer and the deal was done. 3 weeks later I picked up my new car all excited just wanting to enjoy. Well I picked it up in October and having just ticked over 6000miles and it wants its first service, so all nervous about getting that done. I gave it a good proper run up north on the weekend and sticking to 70-80mph I achieved 42mpg, which I was very pleased with as the best my leon did was 32mpg. I have done a few mods, having read all the bits about how bad the headlights are, I put in some 4300k xenons which made such a difference if not a pain to fit, put in amundsen sat nav and led numberplate lights. Anyway, here are some pictures Patrick
