  1. You can beat your wife, you can beat your kids, but you'd never beat a Honda
  2. In gear the Fabia is great, 4th gear @ 40 mph, 5th gear @ 70mph, it really does pull and can catch alot of quick cars out. Great for what for what it is and should be compared to Fiesta ST's, Corsa Sri and does put up a fight. If the Fabia had came out of factory @ 160bhp instead of 130bhp, then it would have been worth a compare. It's just unfair comaparing it to a Type R Which are nothing special speed wise anyway. Fella at my work place has a 2007 3 MPS, with over 300bhp and not far from 500nm, it will eat an ep3, ek9, dc2 etc in a straight line. Real sleepers, look like a normal 1.4 Mazda 3. I would like to see a mapped BMW 120d take on a Type R though, mate of mine has the 320d with the same engine running @ 230bhp and 460nm.It's alot quicker than my Fabia and I can only imagine how quick the 120d is.
  3. Hi all. Have a problem with my central locking and not sure what part I need or what to do. When I open my car with the central locking remote all the doors open except for the drivers door, the button remains stuck and doesn't lift up.I have to use the car key to enter that door. Not a huge issue but it seems to be causing a problem with the battery as well I think, as a few times now the car hasn't started. Battery is only 3 months old and car was checked for electrical problems by an auto electric shop, electrician said alternator, battery, wiring everything was fine. He said he couldn't check if it was the alarm/immobiliser causing the battery to go dead as he doesn't have a diagnostic machine, would have to go a main dealer to check for that and ecu etc. Wasn't that impressed with him at all and charged me 50 euro for an hours labour. Will go straight to main dealer next time. Anyway i'm sure its something to do with that button on the drivers door making the battery go dead, car isn't driven everyday, as I live near work and cycle most days. What part to do I need? Do I need a new motor, door lock? Thanks for any help. Declan
