  1. the ibiza cupra tdi would beat both of them :ignore:
  2. went last saturday and was kinda happy, got three runs one 215bhp and the last two (heatsoak) 205bhp but most impressive was torque got 330lbs @ 2600rpm he could only put foot down at 2600 cos of slip so should peak at 2000 and hold the 330 lbs then slowly down to 285lbs @the point of peak bhp! and the funny thing is everyone was getting low figures tbh i hwas hoping for 210 plus as i keep fairly well with a stage 2 (240bhp on the same day) mk4 ibiza 1.8T but he had low torque so could explain it. the clutch slip is really bad and slips on and off through the rev range so i'm hoping for better figures once a uprated clutch is in place... just to let you know the remapped figures of a 160pd cos i don't know anyone else to get there 160pd rr after a remap just tuner figures, which are estimates
  3. FIAT uno 0.8l wow it was like a go kart on steroids and ****e handling..... blew a headgasket after friend thought it was a good idea to go over 80mph :(
  4. DON't DO IT!!!! WASTE OF TIME AND MONEY! just get good A+ books study then book a test yourself! P.s i know from experience.
  5. i'll give you a run, midrange of course tailed one on a road up to 70-120 didn't pull prob 1 car he let me past then from 70-130 he didn't manage to overtake nice bloke gave me a thumbs up and flash when i pulled off slip road.
  6. superchips i think alot use, but expensive
  7. http://media.putfile.com/0-100-tdi... enjoy
  8. have a different exhaust manifold as well and exhaust. revs happily to 5,000rpm same as turbo as 150 boost is up from 1.5 to 1.55 with exhaust diffrencence. i like the fabia was going to buy one , then came across the cupra tdi went for a drive and it was manic. so brought one, expensive to run compared to fabia i'm sure with ins grp15 :( put mine on wiegh bridge 1200kg with back seats out 1150kg got a 14.63 and 0-60 6.4 @ pod and gti inters. especting 14.4 with new clutch and tweeks. friend has a 130pd and when his remapp and mine standard i kept up, someone got 175bhp rr standard! get to a roundabout and this things dominate, break late massive fade free brakes and handling is spot on the 150/160 takes longer to spool than 130 so doing work on pipes and dp to change this. my 2pence. new fabia vrs hopefully will have the 170 2.0 unit! may be tempted! the 130pd fabia is still v quick driven one and felt v capable.
  9. probrably tired of going up and down soo fast it gave up!
  10. Thanks alot bet a remapped 4 x 4 octavia's quite good fun whats the handling like?
  11. some in europe 210bhp! upsolute state 208bhp but i need a new clutch before going over 300-20lbs-ft and 200bhp when i'm finished hoping for 320lbs-ft and 205bhp only weighs 1200 as well so pretty light, goes well enough. back end revised from standard lexus style lights and big cupra writing.
  12. hello!! been on site a few times and found a few bits of knowelege useful, as have same engine as fabia vrs but heres my lady basically got a remap pretty rapid, got a 14.6 at the pod, Btw it's a cupra tdi 160pd just saving for bilstein suspension and ARB's so should make it a lot better round corners also uprated clutch / exhaust to finish the car any comments, questions? thought i would say offical hello as hope to make it to a nearby meet soon. p.s not concerned about numberplate
  13. a remapp and fmic and exhaust on those would see 300bhp
  14. can you post a vid of 0-100 in your car please like this http://media.putfile.com/0-100-tdi
  15. RedCupraboy, this is for you telling me I make stuff up. You don't know me, so don't tell me what I do and don't do.  Honest enough answers. Don't play with me. Or I'll zap you with my fire eyes and throw you into space, along with your red car. honestly please, :thumbdwn: at least you try to answer proper and not gone overboard, but still sorry 2.0 8v 115bhp doesn't do fast my gf has a new clio 1.5 dci 115bhp and the handling and torque of that would give you a good run. your car maybe good safe handling, i can't say it is or isn't, but face the facts it's SLOW!
  16. so you have stiff springs, ARb and matching dampers are the thing you want to increase handling, but your handling setup is prob fine for the power of the car. just to put into context how your mind works because i think you are winding people up here and actually make stuff up for a laugh!?! would you beat lets say around a few mile track full of twists and some straights : Golf gti mk5 mazda mx-5 1.8 litre mk2 fabiz vrs nissan 350Z convertible louts elise mk1 1.8 suburu impreza 2.0T renault clio sport 172 bugutti veyron fiat uno 800cc bmw 330tdi audi S3 nissan sunny pulsar gti-r ibiza cupra tdi 160 ford focus 2.0 zetec mustang GT peugeut 106 rallye porsche boxster Audi A4 2.0T estate skoda oct vrs mk1 good mix of cars just a yes/no will do
  17. had two pairs nicked from outside my house seat ones 99p for 4 i put on the third set and put a note on window "i know who you are, if they go missing again i'll tell your mum" left it on a couple of nights the dust cap are still on a month later i think it was a young scrote down are road i've been looking at kids bikes as they ride pass in case i spot them.
  18. ok maybe it was a fake one or low spec one like a 2.0 litre mustang then you would have killed him , do they do such a thing 1 pound a gallon, uk gov are rip off *******s maybe he was playing with you?
  19. afternoon, fabia 2.0 nice supermini underpowered 2.0 engine. 115bhp, weight 1200kg power to weight 98bhp/tonne lets try be giving. lets add anther 10bhp for engine mods 1/4 mile 18secs 0-60 9.5ish 0-100 30 secs (yes half a minute) handling mods lowering spring (not dampers to match (good move!) and strut brace what about ARBs to stop rolling all over the place? mustang 300bhp 1550kg 196bhp/tonne 1/4mile 13.8 0-60 5.58 0-100 13.7 so btt you have finished the 1/4mile he would have stopped got out and been able to take a photo of you over the finish line. handling a mustang can't be that bad not brill when cmpared to BMW but it wouldn't matter as he would kill you anyway. i alway have poeple trying to race me i sometime do if i feel it is decent competion and also keep it safe as it can be. but when a **** steams off ragging the **** out of a engine and you trundle off normally you're still able to keep up but they think your racing and they get so excited if you wanted too you could put your foot down a litte more and overtake and leave them trailing for example: i was sitting at lights behid a young lad in a ford fiesta zetec 1.4tdci with st stripe he keeps checking his mirror at me i'm not interested as i know my car is faster and safer. he "bombs" off the lights i slowly pull away and still keeping up but not trying him still ragging the **** out of his poor car. exceeds the speed limit badly. pulled up at second lights he looks over with a grin kinada saying "i beat you" i look at him and burst out laughing i then pulled off going seperate way. but he prob went round saying "i beat a cupra **** of ****" i have had run ins with cars (focus st, megane sport, golf R32) and we've pulled over and chatted cos we doing in a safe and respected each others cars not trying to prove anything. at the end of the day WTF would he waste petrol on showing you he was faster when he already knew he could??
  20. 0-60 in 7.5 secs 1/4 mile should get under 16secs based on 1300kg 175bhp 137bhp/tonne
  21. stop incorouging people to get 180bhp out of a 100bhp car lol the stock brakes and handling will find you the closest hedge! test drive the fabia vrs then test drive the ibiza FR i think you'll find the ibiza more sportier feel (harder suspension etc) than the vrs , both are very well rounded cars, the fabia is also heavier. you'll know as soon as you test drive both both are good quick cars. also before considering 170bhp from your vrs get bigger brake (tt conversion) and jabba ARB and suspension change. mine uses all of its ap racing 4 pot calipers! even when standard.
  22. don't believe dealers they know squat , ask them a fiqure uhhh?!?!?!
  23. it has a LSD rear wheel drive aswell!! i had a think about one of these haven't researched it but surely wouldn't be tto hard/expensive to transform the 140 1.8vvt engine into the 190 1.8vvt engine in the corolla/celica. (that would be menacing!) fast and nmble and good mpg , nice choice, be my pick of a cheap 2 seater! (mgtf, mx-5 etc)
