Hi
I'm no engineer or petrol head so please bear with me if I ask what seem like stupid questions!
My Skoda Fabia has had the engine management light on for a while now, intermittant to start with no permanently. when I 1st took it to the garage they couldn't find a fault and reset it, and said see how it goes.
After a month or so of intermittant light coming on and juddering when the light flashes it is now on all the time, sometimes solid, sometimes flashing. The car now loses power, especially on hills, uses significantly more fuel and judders when idleing sometimes even stalling when idleing whilst cold.
Took it back to the garage and they said the fault codes were P0301 Cyl 1 combustion failure and P0130 Oxygen sensor bank cuircuit failure. Its now booked in for full dignostics in a weeks time.
My questions is what is the likely cause of the cars problems and more importantly how expensive is it likely to be to correct them, baring in mind I'm likely to be selling soon as due to my 2nd child due soon I'll be going for a bigger car?
