  1. The Yeti is no longer my daily transport. Contract ends on 12th January but the Yeti has already been collected. Glad to see the end of the contract to be honest but the Yeti will be missed. Not in a financial situation to continue another lease, if I was I'd probably go for the scala. Had enough of the suv type vehicle preference now is a straightforward hatch. In the meantime I'm out of the skoda family 😢 Perhaps the future will see me back again as a part of the skoda family. I certainly hope so
  2. Think that's what I'll do. Spotted a link on the forum showing how to reset the maxidot service warnings . I'm going to reset the "inspection Now" and just keep an eye on the fluids until the next oil service is due.
  3. Not much use this past year. Only about 6500. Anticipating bigger mileage when the car was leased but circumstances changed and haven't had to do as much as expected.
  4. I'm in Northern Ireland. The 1st mot test is at 4 years and I'm only 3 years old. Had this conversation with Skoda UK (the yeti is on lease). They couldn't seem to grasp the details for a while but eventually they got it.
  5. Having had a "oil" service 12 months ago my yeti 2.0 ltr 110 is now indicating the need for a inspection service. What exactly gets done in the inspection service and is it really necessary. Vehicle on a variable service schedule having had it's 2year oil service this time last year. Do I need to get it booked in or can i carry on until the next "oil service"
  6. Showing the value of Always specing the spare wheel. I always get a spare if none is standard
  7. When asked about any other issues at my first service on the yeti I asked for the tyre pressure warning to be investigated. upon returning to the dealership to collect my yeti the service manager , going through the invoice as they do, pointed out that the sensor was fine ,the warning light coming on because of a change in tyre temperatures, this affecting the pressure. fair enough it was January . Basically she was saying "they all do that". Characteristic of the vehicle! Still have to reset system on a weekly basis which I suppose is a good thing as it makes me check my tyre pressure regularly.

    YETI GONE

Hoping that Skoda do bring their version of the arona to the market. Arona is the best size, along with the likes of Kia and Hyundai models . Prefer the same size in a Skoda

    YETI GONE

carmakers always forget practical aspects like fittng into garages when they introduce bigger replacements for popular cars. Not everyone wants bigger vehicles. Potentially lost customers will go elsewhere. I looked at the karoq but it's too big for me as a replacement for the yeti. I think I'll wait for the smaller suv mooted in the motoring press.

    1st service

My yeti ( 2lt se business edition) is within 40 days to it's 1st oil/inspection service. How much should I expect to pay ? Nothing out of the ordinary needs doing ,Just standard service to keep the warranty good. Should say it's variable service schedule with 11,000 miles @ 22 months old
  11. I lease my yeti and I specced the vehicle to suit my needs being able to add heated seats and screen and spare wheel . It's ourmoney so never settle for standard spec if you want more ask for it. If you dont ask you don't get.
  12. Okay. Pedantic corner. Yes, the correct term is automated but to ordinary people like me , if I don't need to change gear manually it's an automatic.
  13. How is £157 cheaper than£114? And a day later??
  14. Insurance should cover the replacement of glass . Only have to pay excess (£ 70 approx) no way would I pay £350 ,that's just a ripoff. The dealer probably get local fitters in to do the job anyway. cut out the middle man ,save some money
  15. Mine is the same. Seems to stop midway through a swipe usually at start-up or a single flick of the switch. Once the wipers are on ,in steady rain say,the rear wipes normally. Just a little quirk, live with it.
  16. Not if you don't have a left foot, a very good reason for having an automatic.
  17. I've had a citigo ASG for 4 years and just recently sold it on to someone like yourself who had a smart car. Your new citigo should have " hill assist" My car was 2012 model and hill assist was standard so your car should have it as well .when you stop at lights, junction, etc on a incline just hold the car on the footbrake. When you want to move on just lift your foot off the brake pedal and the car will hold position for a couple of seconds allowing you to get on the accelerator thus letting you move off without any rollback. You will soon get used to it. Really useful when parked on a incline with another vehicle close behind. Happy motoring with your new purchase.
  18. Sadly the end has come for the citigo after4 1/2 years. My first skoda ,the citigo has passed on into another's arms.I hope they're happy together lol. There was3 of us in the relationship so the citigo had to go.now it's just me and my yeti. Always have a fondness for the little white baby but it was a sad and lonely final 6 months sitting neglected at the back of the house while the yeti got all the attention. Gone but not forgotten.
  19. Mine is outdoor SE business edition January 2016 model standard DAB /Sat nav unit. Just added heated screen and seats and spare wheel to get the perfect vehicle .for me anyway lol.
  20. I'd also buy a tanker for the blinking screenwash! I've never owned a car that uses so much of the stuff :-) headlights washers absolutely drink the screenwash dry! And leave the bonnet covered in soapy residue.
  21. Quartz grey was my choice , looks great with the silver mirror casings and front and rear underpanels ( if that's what you call them). Just needs a good wash now and then to keep things looking good. after a year's use still looking like new
  22. Yes I'd like to see that as well long night drive better with the screen out but you have to reset each time
