  1. I had a zafira cdti 150 loved the car to bits, I was taking my eldest son home with my youngest along for the ride. anyway smokey smell started to appear so I pulled up investigated found nothing but it was getting worse so grabbed my son (other had been dropped off) walked awa called 999 and the car was a write off. anyway they payed out and were great about everything even the speed they sorted things out in. the only thing I didn't like was they couldn't find what caused it so I'm put off vx forever now.
  2. It was one wire that was faulty he told me it needed sorting when I bought it
  3. Does anyone know the live wire colour for the rear light (the light that turns on with the first click of your light switch/dial) been told mine is flashing but don't know which wire colour it is to check the connection?
  4. Ok I was having a look through service history to see when my cam belt needed changing and found a reciept from 2012 I just wanted to make sure that i'm not seeing things and that it looks like it was done? Also why do the speakers in the boot (next to the parcel shelf) have 4 wires? is there a tweater in there? I was trying to install a sub onto the standard head unit using the speaker wires and built in HP filter but the sound is weak (converter on its way)
  5. Yeah I have no sound but as far as I'm aware you only get sound if if it's been tech2'd?
  6. I'm not 100% sure but I think it comes with alarm as standard, for some reason I have never heard it go off I tried to check it by half opening a window, locking the car (one and two clicks) and then opening from the inside but nothing happened is there a fuse anywhere? or another way to test?
  7. I refurbed a set last year Used Metalic to fill in any deep scuffs sanded down filled and sanded again high build primer sand and spray they didn't weather or chip in the 3 months I had them on my car as far as I know they are still ok but as above Powder coating saves a lot of hassle and time
  8. It would be nice if there was a link to the cheap cable and the more expensive one, and nice to know if the vcds full version would work with the cheap cable
  9. Just to close the thread and for anyone with the same trouble in the future it was the brown wire below the arrow you can almost make it out in the picture, extending the wire should stop it from happening again time will tell! Anyone with the fault near Leeds, Darlington, Rotherham or sheffield is welcome to contact me if they have the same issue and don't want to look at it themself (I work all over the uk so can pop to many places)
  10. Second thoughts it looks to be the one below the arrow O.o
  11. lol normally I wouldnt go there! It looks kind of like its the right wire but i'm still not 100% sure thanks for the reply though!
  12. If it was a Silver VRS with a dint on the roof from the inside where the owner tried to fit a festoon bulb i'd be very careful with that car myself a friend went to view it and it was mashed had all sorts wrong with it!
  13. Tiger seal is awesome stuff just be very careful when using it on parts of the car in plain sight that stuff is so hard to get off
