Not sure, the garage which repaired it must have sorted it. They had the car for repair, it came back with everything working. They didn't give me a break down of what had been fixed / replaced.

Yes- went to repair centre after front end damage (not our fault, shunted from benind), came back as good as new.

I,m selling my Black Fabia Vrs' 2004 (54 Reg)' 81k miles. Full service history, just had it serviced and MOT'd. Passed MOT with no work required. All normal work carried out, timing belt, water pump etc in line with its mileage and age. Lower door sils and boot had full re spray by Skoda in Leeds this year, due to bubbling of paint in these areas. Great condition for its age, driven by the wife to work and back each day. Only selling as she wants something a little bigger for the kids. Booked in for full valet- photos will be available once valet complete. ( Valet now completed, photos attached). Looking for £3300, probably worth more if auto trader is anything to go by.. Any questions please feel free to ask. Thanks.

So my 54 reg Fabia VRS has been blowing what I would describe like warm air for a while now. Changed the thermostat, no difference. The garage has flushed the system today and its slightly improved. They suggest the water pump has some broken paddles and not pushing water around fully. My main worry is the radiator is not warm after a long drive. Engine running at normal temp. Heater matrix is hot on both inlet and outlet pipes Really stuck as to what is the problem. Suggestions. ????

It could depend we're your from as to I you get stopped often. The big cities, Manchester, Liverpool etc the VRS is common for criminals to use or steal to use while the commit crime. There so quick and handle well around town- should they need out run the Plod (most General Purpose Police cars are 1.6 petrol like an Astra) they are one of the best cars and cheap to aquire compared to a Golf etc.

I'm not very technical. But the coolant appears to be flowing and bubbles in the holding tank - does that mean the water pump working ? The pipe into the radiator is warm and has tension in it so I'm guessing its reaching the radiator. I think the radiator is blocked and its barley flowing inside. I had a leak on the radiator some months ago and they added to "stuff" to seal the leak. Not sure if this has caused the blockage.

Recently noticed the heat from my blowers was tepid at best even after a long journey. Took it to a reliable garage who suggest we swap over the thermostat (£25 for a favour). Still no joy. I checked what I could, everything looks okay except the radiator isn't getting warm. Engine temp reaches the normal half way mark, pressure all the way to the radaitor but it isn't getting warm. I'm thinking the radiator needs replacing as it may have a blockage. Anyone got other suggestions. ?

It is mint condition. Had it from 3 yrs old. It does leisurely 10 mile round trip to work with the wife most days who doesn't "trash" it around. The alloys are flaking hence a full strip and re-coat - should cost me 150 of the Queens English notes. Gutted even considering selling it- don't fancy much else available the moment. Although the wife is eyeing up a A3 Sportback (suggestions)

The other half wants me to sell my 54 Black Fabia VRS- 64k on the clock, full service history, Immaculate condition. Planning to get alloys fully redone in Feb. All the expected things changed, Cam Belt, Water Pump etc. Struggling to find a similar vehicle for age and mileage etc. Any thoughts what it's worth

Having noticed the dial loose or tough to turn. I ain't good with motors so I wouldn't know where to find pipes for heater matrix are located. The chaps at the garage are checking that midweek. About three months ago I had a small leak from radiator, the added some " liquid filler stuff" and solved that issue. Just a mystery about the heating at the min.

Having exactly same problem. Engine reaching temp, had thermostat changed but no change. Still scratching my head to a solution. ? I'm getting warming heat from blowers but not its normal hot air. Having heater matrix checked mid week.

I had mine changed on Monday for same reason. Still no change in the heating thou after a 12 mile hike to work. Looks like something else causing mine problems, the radiator not even getting warm- back to the garage ?

I have 54 Reg Fabia VRS. All going well having had the car for five years. Over the past few months I've noticed the heating from the blowers is coming out like warm at best no matter how long the car is running. I had thermostat changed today as they thought it was faulty. It appears to have improved slightly but still not what it was - Red Hot like most cars after a long run. I've done some research but struggling to come up with a sensible answer. The coolant is flowing pot is warm but the radiator appear cool all the time. The garage think it might be blockage in the pipe. ? Struggling to get a straight answer - I'd rather not waste money chasing the problem if someone can help first. PS I ain't very technical- any advice would be great.
