  1. Stage 1 remap is certainly worthwhile.
  2. Welcome! You could try www.skodaparts.com
  3. 10k behind you on a 07 plate and all is well with mine with nothing but routine maintenance. No major surgery as yet.
  4. Just look under the rear arches at the dampers. There is a metal sleeve that can come loose and rattles around.
  5. Check the rear shock covers. These can come loose and rattle. Sounds like somebody jingling a set of keys.
  6. Just for clarity, the part I am referring to is arrowed in the attached picture. I'm sure this isn't the bit others are loosing
  7. Does anybody know how the air duct (part no. 1Z0121285D) comes out? It is the horizontal plastic part that runs over top of the radiator pack and sort of beneath the bonnet release. There are two torx screws in the centre but these don't appear to release it. Does something else need to come off as well? You'll see from the attached picture that my intake has self destructed and broken off the plastic securing tabs to the above part, hence the need for replacement.
  8. Nice. Been looking for some myself. How much did you pay if you don't mind me asking?
  9. Purge valve maybe? Did they give you a fault code?
  10. Mine has 105k and is fine. I suspect life expectancy of a clutch is so variable due to different levels of sympathy/abuse that there is no definitive answer to this!
  11. You won't regret the remap. Best value mod you will do, especially if you make use of 25% off at Shark.
  12. I really wouldn't bother changing it unless it is split and leaking boost. However, you could try Awesome GTI. Rev D oem I think is the current favourite. This is the upgraded piston type rather than diaphragm type. How long have you had the car? If not from new then somebody may well have already changed it. I really would just leave it as is, but that's just me...
  13. Coils about £80 for four. OEM DV about £45.Have a search for which revision is deemed the best. GFB DV+ about £100.
  14. Shark Performance in Mansfield. You don't need to change the DV or coils in advance. Just accept that the remap may encourage them to fail and budget for their replacement if they do. I presume you are petrol tfsi or tsi, in which case you will see a claimed 250bhp from shark stage 1.
