  1. Hi Guys Recently my 2005 Skoda octavia 4x4 2.0 Petrol FSI had the warning lamp on for the exhaust system. Took it to a Skoda workshop here in Sweden where prices are quite high. Long story short they ran diagnostics,- faulty NOX/Oxygen/Lambna probe (don't know the right name as all 3 abb. are on the receipt). Got the car back driving nice, the next morning on my way to work +/-10miles when driving at 80-100km/h and engine up to temp, if you take your foot of the petrol the car starts to "jump" then "starve" if you want to acellerate a bit of nothing and then "jumps" and goes. It's very difficult to find the wording to describe but it is as if it's starved from fuel and then get's some through. If the car is cold (in the morning) no problem when it heats up this scenario starts. I have a ebay diagnostic tool- no errors or errors on dashboard. I have a booking with the garage in two weeks, I hope they will fix it without to much cost, sensor with the processors here in sweden priced at about 900pounds for everything. The car did not have any issue like this before the sensor replacement, just the lamp on the dashboard. Could reset the alarm with my ebay tool but it came back.... so the reason for taking it to the garage and getting it replaced (wont pass swedish MOT, with lamp on) To me it sounds like the new sensor is not working with the system to well, is there anything you can suggest doing between now and the garage visit in 2 weeks? regards
  2. Thanks for the quick reply, I erased it last night drove with it this morning no problem, but it lit up when driving after lunch again.
  3. Hi Experts, I have a 2005 skoda octavia 2.0FSI (petrol) which displayed the yellow/amber warning lamp. After a quick scan with my "ebay" scanníng tool it showed this error "P2203 NOx sensor circuit high bank1". There is no noticeable change in performance or idling and the only thing that has changed lately is that i have started to fuel it with only Shell V-power 98 petrol rather then any other garage 95 or 98. Could it be this? or is there more to it? I have also attached to pictures Your advice would be priceless.
  4. Thank you for the reply Hopefully some more happy miles here in Sweden for me, better then the crunch from the back Rgrds
  5. Hi Experts I just replaced my rear wheel bearings and on my 4x4 octy. Now my question is regarding the tightening torque of the 12 point bolt. Some say..... 250nm back off half a turn, rotate the wheel ,then 50nm + 60 degrees 225nm slacken off( dont know how much) then 50nm + 60 degrees 70nm plus 90 degrees I dont want to mess up the bearing so could you guide me into more happy miles!!!! Regards Stefan
  6. Is it risky to drive with this "stutter". Is this actuator electronically controlled or by vacuum?
  7. Good morning, I have a 2004 octavia 4x4 2.0 FSI and recently between 2000-2500rpm when i accelerate the car give a shudder going past these rpm's......when it's past this range it's o.k. It has 108000km on the clock. It doesn't matter if it's cold or hot, even on the motorway if you "free" and let the rpm enter this range and push the peddal it shudder...shudders and then accellerates smoothly. Now i dont immediately want to take is to a dealer because the workshop rates here in sweden is out of this world expensive. I have checked the sparkplugs, they are good and clean(4point-bosch ones) no residues, the airfilter is clean, what could this be?..........Unfortunately i do not have the capabilities or tool to check faults codes Any advice
  8. No difference in performance, running smooth without any issues? If the coil pack is faulty would the performance go down?
  9. Good day I recently bought my first Skoda after driving VW and Audi all my life and i love this vehicle. Goes very good in about a foot of snow here in Sweden, But a few days ago one evening when it was -15 a amber warning lamp looking like a small engine lit up on the dashboard."Control system for exhaust" ( owners manual ). Now i do pre heat the car and engine before driving and i put 98octane fuel into it, its done 99 700km. Now i have tried to find some information but most relates to the diesel engines and mine is petrol. Before taking it to the dealers i would like to have your expert opinion. We don't do a lot of driving maybe 50km per day city driving not motorway. Any guidance would be appreciated Regards 2005 Octavia 4x4 2.0 FSI petrol
