Any recommendations for a decent roof rack? No roof bars so would fit in this tapped holes at the top of each door. Whats the crack with the door seals, is it bad for leaks or does the secondary one stop any water egress? I’ve seen the Thule ones, are they worth the coin? Probably use it for a roof box or bike storage. What do people reckon?

It couldn’t be that hard I don’t think.

What to do when the AUX port goes?

Recently discovered the Swing stereo can play data CDs like a normal cd. Screen allows different folders to be selected. I would say return to stored music. -
I feel my sarcasm at the beginning of the post has been somewhat missed. i was saying it isn’t broken. I’m looking to see if there is another type of shelf different to the standard, something like an estate that retracts in.

Electric front windows Intermittently working

Yep, this exact issue happens to me! Key unlock button hold then lock button hold resets something. Found out from Silbury Skoda a few years ago but can’t remember. -
No, it’s not broken and requires the hinges fixing. I’m trying to see if there are alternatives available, i.e. like the estate version that pulls out. Anyone ever find anything or just simply leave it alone?

Gearbox Switch for Reversing Light
Nicholson87 replied to Nicholson87's topic in Skoda Fabia Mk II (2007-2014)
Sorry to bring up an old thread. Eventually got round to looking at this. Turns out one of the wire has broke off the connector. See the image. Whats the crack here then. Can the connectors be sourced and fitted without soldering and all that? Would rather do it instead of take it to a garage, would be a lot cheaper that’s for sure. I’m hoping so and that it has to be the full harness as that sounds a bit of a chew on! -
Gearbox Switch for Reversing Light

Cheers for the information. Those drawings make it some much easier to understand where to look. Good idea about testing identify if the switch is the culprit. I have not had any work done at that end for some time, I'll have a look about still however. Had a quick search for the part number, identified quite a few different parts. Am I right in thinking they will all fit, just different brands producing them? Very novice question I know, new to sourcing parts and fitting them. -
Gearbox Switch for Reversing Light
Nicholson87 replied to Nicholson87's topic in Skoda Fabia Mk II (2007-2014)
Gearbox code is LNR. Reg is 13 plate. Engine is 1.2 Petrol. -
Hallo. So, got round to looking into why my reversing light (and wiper) was not engaging when the reverse gear was selected. Bulb definitely works, tried in a different holder. Wires leading up to reversing light holder all look in good condition. Both fuses (think they are in location 6 and 26?) are looking spot on. Now thinking it is the switch that fits to the gearbox. Want to give this a go as it looks pretty straight forward (from what I’ve seen it is merely disconnecting the cables, remove the old one and replace with the new). Is it as straight forward as this? I understand it will be a bit fiddly removing the undercarriage cover. Tried identifying the correct part but couldn’t get 100% confirmation. Found one on europart but when I entered my reg, it no longer showed up and has me thinking it may not be the right part. Any help/insight into this would be much appreciated.

Cheers for the help. Will give them a look.

Yeah, that’s what I mean. The factory fitted ones that run straight with the vehicle aren’t on. They would be the best option but unfortunately isn’t one with this car. Therefore a full rack is required.
