As in the title I have bought a Skoda Karoq having previously owned a Yeti. Have been away for quite a few years having had a couple of Mini Countryman r60,s.Must admit I have missed the banter of the forum and have realised what a wealth of information it is. It is interesting to note how many previous Yeti owners are now Karoq owners.Tony from the wonderful Isle of Man.

Just after a bit of advice. Do Halfords still stock Waxaddict products any longer, have been on the Halfords website and they are not there. Tony -
Only one VW dealer on the Isle of Man Tony

ktm690rr, I have my Yeti serviced on island by the VW main dealer as we do not have a Skoda main dealer. He always resets the service indicator when I take it to him for a service. Tony

Being originally from West Yorkshire ( Halifax), I was always under the impression that we did have Soft water, very surprised. Tony -

Got mine delivered about a fortnight ago, bigger and better. Tony -
As Urrell says the black roof is no longer an option. What I can,t get my head round is when Skoda brought out the Yeti Monte Carlo it was all singing and dancing, rear Led lights black roof and various other add-ons. All these have either disappeared or are an option, seems to me they are really on one cost cutting exercise. Tony

Good lad hope you get something sorted. Tony -
That is the Famous Inspector Mark Britton at the TT 2008 outside the Bushy,s beer tent.He is still a serving officer in the IOM Police force. He has a later vid on Youtube showing him singing in the Bushey,s beer tent. A true gent!!! The IOM Police usually have Inspector Derek Flint fronting their Road Policing video,s these days. Tony

Episode Two tonight. Tony

Just had a word with Skoda customer service and Haldex oil should have been changed last year, ( so is being done this service) and the DSG oil change is not age related but must be done at 40000 miles. Tony
-
Would imagine it will be on the ITV Hub after transmission date. Note- the second episode is on August 10th same channel, same time. Tony
-
Just a shout to any Biker fans who are interested in how the IOM Police deal with the TT influx in May/June this year. It is on ITV4 on Wednesday night at 10pm, and I think there are more than one episode. Tony

Did you not keep the spare from the previous Yeti? Tony

Probably just a fluke. Tony

manxskoda replied to BTS22's topic in Styling and Car Care
Sorry off-topic Nick, I would imagine it was flown to the Island.Royal Mail do deliver to the island, I pass their artic most mornings going to work, after it has come across from Heysham at 05.45am. We have our own IOM Postal service on island, nothing to do with the UK (Royal Mail) HTH Tony -

Just ordered the Lazarus from BMD, as I saw Ste had ordered some, and thought I would give it a go. Ordered it yesterday mid morning and low and behold it arrived on my doorstep this morning. How is that for service, can,t wait to try it out. Tony -
My Yeti is due for it,s 4 year service in September. The Yeti is a 2litre TDi with a 6 speed DSG, and has done 22000 miles.I had the brake fluid renewed last year but would like advice on firstly Haldex oil being renewed and also the DSG gearbox oil being renewed. Am I right in believing that both should be done on this 4 year service? Also is there anything else that I should have checked or renewed at the same time. Tony

Martin if you are on Facebook there are 2 groups that you can follow for info. They are Isle of Man Homestay and Accomodation and Isle of Man Accomodation- TT and Grand Prix. If you put you accomodation requirements on both pages, you will no doubt get a few offers. HTH Tony -

Just picked this thread up,the best way to get Homestay for the TT is to go on the TT Homestay website. It is run by Regancy Travel on behalf of the IOM Gov, and with that you do get an approved Homestay operator.Make sure that where ever you get Homestay, that it holds the appropriate certificates ( there are some horrendus properties posing as Homestay). Good Luck with your searching, the sooner you do it the better choice you have. We do Homestay and have the same Biker fans coming back year after year.HTH Tony -

Just been to my favourite detailing shop on the island and after a tip off from myself, they are now EZ car Care resellers. He is starting with a 20% off intro, so my wallet will be badly burned on Friday when I finish work. Pleased or what!!!!! Tony

But I imagine it will be a best seller for Toyota. The only downside is the hybrid version is not 4wd and it has the horrible Cvt auto-box. If you want the 4wd version it is powered by a 1.2 petrol engine. Tony
