I am about to get rid of my 2018 Karoq and have cleared out all the data from the Satnav. Do I need to delete my phone contacts or do they simply remain on my iphone and are then linked by Bluetooth rather than being downloaded in to Infotainment system? If they have to be deleted from Infotainment, how is that achieved?

My dealer was insistent that it was my second service and quoted me £41 more than the Skoda fixed price. When challenged on price I got a “OK we’ll match that” response, but only after an adverse review did they correct my invoice to show as First Service and not second.

I have a Karoq 1.5TSI SE L DSG on a PCH started in November 2018. To date, there have been no "pop-ups" stating that servicing is required. However, I now, at 11955 miles, have a pop-up for "oil servicing". So I booked the car in with the garage, who tell me that the car will require its second service at a cost of £225 plus a new pollen filter at £35. Have they got this right: it hasn't even had it's first service yet? It seems a lot of money for 11955 miles of driving

I would like to transfer the music from my Mac "iTunes" onto an SD card, with the hope of being able to play it in my Karoq. If this is possible, how should the SD card be formatted and then what format should the music be in before transferring to the SD card.

Thank you Icey Lady et al.. I think that I now have the definitive answer, albeit from another salesman, and I will summarise below. The car can be unlocked and locked using the press-buttons on the key fob. If using KESSY, the car is unlocked when the key is within 11/2 metres of the car and the door handle is grasped If using KESSY the car has to be locked by touching the sensor on the rear of the door handle The car WILL NOT LOCK simply by walking away with the key. The key cannot be inadvertently locked in the car. If the car is unlocked using KESSY, but the door is not opened shortly thereafter, then the car will lock again. Hope that helps, but standing by to be corrected. This did after all come from a salesman.

Thank you phd-agne. I’m quite happy with KESSY and it’s use, but mine certainly DOES NOT LOCK ITSELF if I walk away without first locking it and I cannot find anything in the manual that says it should. Previous replies also confirm this, despite of what the salesman told me

Thank you all for your helpful replies. Mine seems to work as it says in the manual i.e if the key is within 11/2m of the car, gripping either front door handle will open the car. Then on leaving the car with the key on the outside of the car, touching the little slot on the rear of the handle causes the car to lock. Otherwise the car remains unlocked, no matter how far away I move from the car nor after any time period.

Just taken delivery of a 1.5Tsi SEL fitted with KESSY. During the "handover". the salesman explained the use of KESSY and stated that "if you walk away from the car, having forgotten to lock it, and with the keys in your pocket, the car will lock itself after a certain time delay". Well mine doesn't!! Should it, or has the salesman got it wrong?

Thank you all for your help. I think the easiest solution is to have a small portable radio and headphones in the car, so that my child can listed to whatever, and I can listen to the ICE. Regards Mike

Thank you Landers Sorry not have been more specific with my initial query. The current ICE unit fitted into the Yeti L&K has BT capability and I use that facility with my mobile phone. My primary aim is to allow my child, who is hard of hearing, to be able to listen to the radio whilst in the car, without having the volume so high that the rest of us find it uncomfortable. So I suppose the question is,: Can I "pair" BT headphone/earbuds with the "Amundsen" BT unit in the car, and if so, do they need to be of any particular type. Thanks for your suggestions to date.

Thank you Fin. I know that the fitted radio unit has Bluetooth, it's just a question of can I connect directly via that Bluetooth capability. But if not, I shall go for the item you have suggested. Thanks again

I have a 2016 Yeti L&K, which I believe is fitted with the "Amundsen" radio/nav unit. Is it possible to connect to the audio output using headphones/earbuds via Bluetooth? I realise the inherent dangers of the driver doing so, but have a specific need for one of my children as a passenger.

Yes, that would work too. Perhaps I should simplify by just saying that if you want to re-engage CC at a speed different to that previously selected, then simply press the bottom of the rocker rather than the top.

I agree that the rocker, if held, will accelerate or decelerate at approximately 1mph/second. But my earlier suggestion works more rapidly e.g on the motorway at 70 with CC engaged and need to reduce to 50 for roadworks, then brake to 50, which will disengage CC from 70 and once at 50 briefly press bottom of CC rocker and CC will immediately re-engage at 50. If yo press rocker at top it will re-engage at the last selected speed i.e.70. Leave 50 zone and to return to 70 press accelerator and once at 70 briefly press bottom of CC rocker and CC will then hold at 70.

Why not! Is there another way of reducing speed

Cruise Control and "Resume" function. Something I only just discovered when using Cruise Control but should probably have known about previously!! If you have a speed set and wish to accelerate or decelerate to a new speed, you can use the accelerator or brake, as appropriate, ands when the new speed is reached briefly depress the lower part of the CC rocker switch. You are then back in CC ast the new speed.

I have just taken delivery of my second Yeti: this time its an L&K and I have a questionn relating to the use of a phone in the car. My iphone is paired and I have no trouble making and receiving calls, other than this question relating to the use of the phone controls onn the steering wheel. If I press in the control wheel, the only option I then see is "Recent Calls" which I can then scroll through. On my previous Yeti I had "Contacts, Recents, Missed etc.. Am I missing something and if I have a contact that is not a recent call, do I then have to use the centrer screen to select their number and make a call that way?

Yes, thank you Johann, I had read that thread but my handbook definitely quotes 4 seconds. The warning light is on the centre of the dash, between the two central air vents and just below the hazard warning light switch

The passenger airbag warning light is now staying on for about 45 seconds after turning the ignition on and/or starting the engine. The car is 4 months old and the handbook says "A fault in the airbag system exists if the warning light does not go out 4 seconds after the ignition is switched on." Local garage says that it is not a problem and that the handbook is badly translated from the original Czech version, so just ignore it! Grateful for informed comment please.

I would be grateful for advice on how to replace the existing dashboard trim with the wood trim. Does the trim just prise off and if so what is the best tool to use? If it does prise off, where do you start to prise it - end centre, both at same time? Any other tips? Thanks in advance
