  1. Mines had an intermittent buzz emanating from the dash for a while. I had the Dealer look at it but to no avail. After weeks of searching and various temporary fixes I finally traced it to the central air vents. I suspect as previously mentioned heat plays a part and the two different plastic surfaces 'react' against one another. I'll get round to a 'fix' soon and if managed will post results.
  2. Exchanged a wave with a very clean red SM (pre face lift) on Friday going into Sutton. Saw it again about an hour later going the opposite way.... anyone on here?
  3. Nice little write up in Metro Wheels this morning!
  4. I'd go with this theory too, the cut looks very clean and consistent to be road damage! Might be worth a call to the local Constabulary to see if there's been a spate of damage in the locality.

    Xmas

Festive greetings to all, here's hoping for a White Christmas!
  6. Anti clockwise, M25 this morning, between M3 and A3 junctions probably about 1015ish. Silver Yeti on the hard shoulder with (I think) a female making a call on the emergency phone! :( Hope it wasn't anyone on here and if it was that it was sorted quickly and nothing too serious! Apologies but was on the wrong side of the Armco to be of any use!
  7. Put Letti's winter boots on today! Simple 16" trims from Ebay with the addition of some neat laminated, self adhesive decals. Summer sandals packed ready for storage!
  8. Hope the issue gets resolved, I for one would certainly be interested to see where the ingress is from!
  9. My gear shift plate was showing signs of wear so decided to change it for one of Super Skoda's. I appreciate it's a relatively simple fix but always useful to have some reference. 1/. I used a plastic picnic knife and carefully inserted it between the gear stick and the base of the plate. A little gentle pressure and the plate lifted. 2/. Once it popped out at the bottom it was a case of gently teasing the clips out of the gear stick to fully remove. 3/. Refitting was even easier, position and pop it in! I'm chuffed with the different design and feel the finish is better than that of the original.
  10. Cheers Merlinman, turned out to be a very simple job! Here's how---- http://www.briskoda.net/forums/topic/289862-gear-shift-plate-removal/
  11. Does anyone have experience of removing the gear knob plate from a manual shifter? The chrome has started peeling off of mine so I've ordered one from Super Skoda. It looks like it should simply pry out but thought I'd ask the question before diving in. Thanks in advance..
  12. Two today, black one on the A27 heading in the opposite direction to me and silver one in the BP on the A23 just outside of Brighton.
