  1. Yep, should have been 25k not 250k lol.
  2. Well the time has come, my Skoda will be going to a new owner tomorrow afternoon. I'd love to have kept her, but I need a bigger car and a cheaper fuel/tax bill as 250000 miles a year is adding up. So tomorrow I take ownership of a 2009 Renault Grand Scenic 1.5 Dci. I got it at an absolute steal of a price, which compensates for the poor trade in value for the Octavia. Its been fun with the octy, even if its cost a lot to run etc. I'll still frequent briskoda as it is a good community. Rob
  3. Result for me this week, predictions put in straight after Barcelona too! Sent from my GT-N7100 using Tapatalk
  4. Signed up again, should be an interesting season
  5. Mine was doing similar, oddly only in certain gears and mainly when going up hill so under load, turned out to be a failing coil pack.
  6. Bet mummy screams at him everytime!
  7. Yep I thought so too, even got a free pre mot check so I know what I need to get sorted in the next month. only 1 downside I forgot to mention, when I picked the car back up it was still misfiring. My dealer wanted me to book it in for investigation, at an unknown cost, turned out they has not connected coil pack 2 properly which I sorted at the side of the road.
  8. Just to add I had all 4 L packs replaced under recall this week, I was advised to contact Skoda UK to request a refund for the bosch replacements I had purchased 4 days earlier to keep me on the road. also, got a free valet which has hidden a couple of minor marks and vastly reduced a big ding in the drivers door.
  9. If the phone runs android you can set up an alert on mobile data usage. I assume the same can be done on iphones but have never had one so cant be certain.
  10. I had a mk2 petrol 1.6 before the octavia, it was very problematical. Electrics were its biggest problem, space and versatility it was very good.
  11. Its Sky all the way now, thanks to Gadgetmans recommendation I've got the package I wanted for 50 quid a month less than Virgin wanted and 180 quid in a couple of months. Mr Steve Steve (thats not s typo but what he said his name was) at virgin didnt want to know wgen I called to cancel.
  12. Gadgetman you are a star signed up to topcashbavk yesterday and looking through the deals as I type this.
  13. Hi all, we've been looking at swapping from Virgin to sky as Virgin have informed us that the price is going up again. I've looked at skys pricing online and they are pretty much identical to what we are paying. the question is, givem the choice who would you choose? for info we currently have 20mb bb, Xl tv with sky movies and basic phone. 1 tivo and 1 v+ hd box sky would be unlimited bb entertainment extra plus with movies. 1 hd recorder box and a normal hd box.
  14. Lloyds are quite good lately, I had a letter from them a few months ago saying they had charged me for someyhing that shouldn't have been charged 15 months previous. They refunded the charge and gave 25 quid as a gesture of goodwill plus interest from the date of charges. Ended up with 85 quid.

You'll get used to that sort of thing soon. Also, its a rule you have to drink everytime jack says damn it. in the 2 hour special between season 7 and 8 a camera man complete with steady cam is in shot a few times along with the helicopter camera men.
  16. Or the "it'll be in the last place you look", as if anyone finds what they are looking for and then carries on searching for it.
  17. Might be worth giving all p Ipework a good checking over, if 1 piece is getting to the perishable stage you can bet more will be soon too.
  18. Capri's and Scimitars, this thread must be like potn to old (er) petrol heads. Saw a scimitar for sale couple of days ago and had to fight the urge to get the number of the seller.
  19. Coultards collumn made a good read. Thoughts and prayers to schumi and his family at what must be the absolute worst situation for any family. Get well soon.
  20. This, but do get a decent launch tube. Scaffold bar does the trick
  21. Interesting reading, even more so as googles Italian translation is rather literal.
  22. Additional word of warning, the base units only come with 4 feet but will need a prop of some kind across the centre as it will bow very easily as I have found out
  23. Just got back from my local B&Q with 7 brand new kitchen cupboards for 116 quid. I assume these are end of line, only available with ivory doors and limited sizes available. A 1000mm base unit is going for 30 quid (24 if trade) as far as I can tell the cabinet chassis are identical to the ranges sold as individual items where the 1000mm is about 50 quid plus doors and handles. Thought I'd share with you all so if you are planning a new kitchen in the new year nows the time to buy, even if you buy different doors seperately its still 20 quid a unit cheaper!
