  1. The automatic choke had been wrongly assembled. I took my time to investigate and with a little luck I could fix the problem and I could get rid of the wire the mechanic put there because he didn't want to deal with the carburettor, he was not a Skoda specialist, he just wanted to get paid as quickly as possible. Now the carburettor works much better, I have no problems when I start the engine in the morning. If I only could get more power from the engine...
  2. I have exactly the same problem. I bought a new VIKä thermal switch. You can read "82/68ºC" on it. I wanted to test it setting the part in hot water and with an ohmmeter I tried to read continuity but I couldn't. My analog ohmmeter didn't show any measurement, not even when the water was boiling. Is the replacement part faulty? What did a do wrong?
  3. The second stage (Nº4 on the photo) or the secondary throttle diaphragm is not working. (please see #33 on this post). I've bought a new diaphragm because the former one was heavily leaking. I've changed the hose, the new one is tight and without leakage. I think the problem is inside the carburettor. Why it is not producing enough vacuum to pull up the lever?
  4. Thanks. Now What's wrong when the car is descending a long slope and the engine stops working?
  5. When the fuel gauge is at its mínimum i.e. the warning panel orange light bulb is on, how many kilometers or liters do I have to get to the nearest gas station?
  6. Hi, what's the normal fuel consumption for a Felicia 1.3L with carburettor?
  7. It helped me reading this article. Check it out! http://onemanspanner.wordpress.com/2011/06/13/pierburg-2e3-on-a-vw-vanagon/
  8. Hey adurer I haven't solved the issue yet. I am saving some bucks to go to the mechanic. When I do it I'll take a photo or two to show -whoever might be interested- how it was solved. About the temp sensor, I found a topic related to the case and tried there. However you don't have to be so sarcastic. I Guess not everyone is so knowledgeable in Felicias 1.3 like you. I have thanked you several times. You don't have the right to treat me as if I was a retarded. You may know a buch of things but I also deserve some respect too (even if I don't know as much as you). Etiquette rules are fine I agree with you, but I think you have started to be a little anoying.
  9. I would like that someone explains me how to remove the temp sensor. I need to change it too. I've got a Felicia 1.3 carburetor.
  10. I want to make questions regarding the temperature sensor, do I have to start a new topic? or I can fire them here?
  11. "the box being hit against the ground to many times" I think so too. The former owner hit the car for sure. Our street roads are full of potholes especially after a heavy rain. I will take my Felly to the mechanic to change the gearbox gasket. I could try pinpunching the alloy in an attempt to seal it but the car is too low, I don't have enough space to maneuver. I wish I could have an inspection pit in my own yard. I am saving some bucks to pay the mechanic.
  12. Yes Sir the plastic cog is split but it still works, but now you make me wonder, perhaps should I change it or should it remain untill it breaks, which could be dangerous, fragments could go inside the gearbox, is that what you meant by your remark?
  13. Adurer, Ich denke Ich bin faul und du bist fleißig! Du bist Schnell und Ich bin langsam! Es tut mir leid, du hast mir sehr geholfen. Jawohl respektiere Ich dich!
