Hi Got a mk2 that the aircon does not work and had someone look at it today and i have no leaks but when he plugged into vcds he informed me that the AC control module is empty/wiped. Does anyone know anything about this so i can get it working again as it needs coding? Waiting for the full report to be emailed to me but looks like i need some coding done.

i cant find the sensor under the panel on either side of car

I have a 2012 Octavia VRS Blackline and aircon has stopped working. Went for a regas and garage told me that the Air Quality sensor was not working when he plugged in diagnostics. He said there was no leaks but this could be the problem as it would stop aircon from working and operating compressor?. Went online to find out where it is and all the info i could find tells me that it is under the grill passenger side scuttle panel in front of windscreen. Took this up and had a look for it but cannot find it, so any idea where it is please. Any help would be appreciated. Forgot to say that when i turn aircon on the light on switch does not come on but the info screen tells me it is on.

Got my mic and loom from a guy on here and works great

Hope you get it sorted as it works a treat and easy to install as it it just plugs in the back of the unit and fed up through the door pillar and clips in next to the interior light in the purpose made slot. So easy to install into my Blackline. Cheers

The Blackline unit does have blutooth but it is not activated from new as i have a Blackline also. I had the dealer activate it by plugging in and bought the mic and plugged it in and all works good. Even play my music from ipod or iphone via bluetooth through it.

Have you had the fix done to it

hi. I also have the 2012 Blackline Octavia VRS and have had the Bluetooth activated and mic fitted for the hands free. Works great. Why they did not activate the Bluetooth on the Amundsen plus from the start I don't know

Yep same happened to me. My heater is at the top and got a replacement from ebay(arrived today). Just about to go change it on my Octavia VRS

Just been on the Skoda site and found my VRS Blackline is affected. Wonder what comes next. Compensation? New car? Time will tell. Told them I will accept a new VRS 230.

. I got the dealer to actvate my bluetooth and then bought the Mic from a guy on here and fitted it dead easy and works a treat

I had a detachable fitted to my octavia vrs blackline and the sensors work when getting close to van. I just hit the button on my Amundsen and they stop.

Make sure they use the right sort of oil for that price. It DOES make a difference

try www.micksgarage.com they have a different make called G3 (made in Italt and very flexible)i have seen fitted and they look great Even a video to watch

The dealer reckons Castrol Edge fully synthetic 10w40. Is this essential or what else can I use, any other make?

What's wrong with towing a caravan with a vrs. I do it all the time.
