  1. Thanks Splooter, Doesn't look like the one I was shown a picture of in the dealers. You would think they would know who supplies them though!!
  2. Thanks Splooter, you don't happen to have a picture of the removable towing hook? The diagram I was shown in the dealership was different to the Westafalia towbars I've seen but it may just be a newer version. Andy.
  3. Just wanted to update this thread for anyone looking for window shades. I have just fitted a set of shades from vanstyle & I'm pleased to report they were an absolute doddle to fit, took about 10 minutes, & fit perfectly to the shape of the windows. Would recommend to anyone looking for shades.s. If I can work it out will try to post some pictures. Andy.
  4. I know towbars have been done to death but has anyone had a removable factory fit recently and if so which manufacturers towbar is fitted? I want to fit a towbar to my Greenline & had the factory prep done, whilst collecting my spare wheel & tool kit to raise the boot floor today I asked if the dealer could order the Westfalia removable towbar & correct electrics, supply only. Unfortunately the advisor could not tell me if the towbar is the Westfalia or a different manufacturer so I have only ordered the electrics for factory prep & need to find out which towbar Skoda will provide. Thanks, Andy.
  5. I did the same, very simple hassle free process. Register for your free "Ensurance" package too once you have the beast!
  6. Picked up my Greenline today with towbar prep (unfortunately SUK will not allow factory fit towbar on Greenline) so looking for towbar installer in Devon area if anyone has any recommendations? Thanks, Andy.

    Waiting List

I was given a provisional build date of week 14 when I placed my order back in January. The next update was week 14 to advise car was now being built. Current status is waiting at port to ship to UK. So my order has (up to this point) gone exactly as dealer advised.

  12. Renewals are a waste of time nowadays, nearly always cheaper to shop around for new policy.
  13. Call your dealer & have it added to the order. I've just done it on my order although I had to push the dealer to check the ordering sytem as he claimed it was not available per the current catalogue. He went away & checked it & made me very happy when he told me it was available & had been added to my order. There is a point though when your order becomes locked meaning no changes can be made so time is of the essence, my order is build week 14.
  14. Pounds per Squre Inch, old school measurement.

  16. More likely SUK will specially have the old badges manufactured just for us in the UK

  19. There goes the waiting list length
  20. Just looks corroda red to me but a bit duller due to the low light conditions. Either that I need to adjust my PC monitor
  21. I am a Metal Head tho so looks like I'll need to do my own retro fit MDI
  22. MDI not available on Greenline II due to weight restrictions
  23. I had the same thing on my work VW Caddy van. It's done it twice, both times in the morning when the temperature was low. First occassion baffled me but on the second there was actually a message on the stereo "LOW BATTERY" (even though the ignition was off) which only lasted a few seconds then vanished. Found it rather odd as the Caddy has a battery saver which cuts the power & needs manual reset if the battery voltage drops too low but this had not tripped out on either occasion. So I think that may well be your "Bong"
  24. Couldn't agree more Andrew, the way I see it you should be able to spec "your" vehicle (not SUK's) with whatever you want with all options available on all models. Why restrict what your customers can buy when you may actually push them to a competitor? OK, it may mean longer build times but I would much rather wait a little longer for a vehicle which has all I want straight from the dealer rather than have to retro fit or do without. Seems the days of the customer being king are long gone! So if the configurator has now been corrected where do I stand with an e-mail generated from the configurator which clearly states "no cost option" for Columbus, MDI & Integrated Storage Device? Any "legal eagles" out there?
  25. Well my dealer tried to re-order my vehicle this morning & said the options are NOT available as no cost & that the configurator is wrong & he had checked with regional manager...I'm confused
