Just had towbar and single 7 pole electrics fitted by D M Keith in West Yorks. Its a Thule detatchable towbar. (There are some on e-bay for £237) The 7 pole single electrics apparently do NOT require the Canbus resetting. That is only required if a 13 point electric fitted. Price was very good at just over £400 inclusive.

Skoda dealer wanted £156 inc VAT. 6 screws to undo and replace, plus 2 spring brackets and 45 minutes later I had done it myself for £50

Had my towbar fitted at the Skoda dealer after requesting a Skoda towbar, Skoda electrics, and recoding. When collected the bumper looked as though a child had cut the hole, the cover plate would not fit properly due to the inside seal plate not being glued. I asked the service manager if their staff had fitted it, only to be told they had got an external towbar expert to fit! I have now checked the electrics and it is obvious it has not been recoded either. Although it does do the same as the one fitted on my Ford Escort in 1988!!!! Its going back to the dealer.

Alternative speed displayed would be helpful in miles instead of kph. I am unable to change it for some reason.

Just picked up my new Yeti Elegance in petrol blue and gobi sand leather. Looks the part. 10 miles on clock. Its covered in snow now so it must feel at home. Where does I get the wooden dash bits.

Ordered new Yeti 5th January 2013, told car on docks in Germany, car landed in UK 14th January, not yet at dealer. Is this delay usual?
