  1. Hi, thanks for the reply.. going to view a car in the morning! Eml on as a result of sai removal.. so just trying to get a heads up on it
  2. Evening gents, what error code would the removal of sai throw up on my little orange Plug in reader? Can the fault and eml be cleared?
  3. I noticed ages ago that the breather had a steady film of oil in it. Skoda said " they do breath heavy.. ill look into fitting one.. az I doubt it would be hugely expensive.. the turbo has bedn replaced within the last six months.. thanks for your thoughts.. my only worry is rings/ bore wear.. anything else I can deal with.. the resesrch ive done.. points in all directions inc injector pump/ lift pump.. over fueling . Valvd seals.. incorrect timing.. naff mapping following dpf delete.. etc etc.. its just z case of pin pointing it.. I could just book it in at a local specialist and hope ggey find the issue.. but ill faff around pestering people for now..

  5. Hmm where would the oil be comin from if found in cooler and associated pipework?
  6. No, but I will.. Is that because the deceleration causes a vacuum that sucks the oil through the seals?

  8. Does it do it only on cold start up or? If you left the car for an hour would it do it again and how long does it do it?
  9. Yeah blue =oil.. but isnt diesel like oil? I would like this problem to be valve stem seals.. wouldnt be difficult to swap them out.. but also could be injector/lift pump or both ( ive read ) wrong oil type..too much oil in sump.. im only happy it isnt constant or it could then be worn out rings/bores..
  10. None up the wall or dripping.. Oil cap jiggles a merry dance when unscrewed and held loosely over the thread.. But was told by skoda "they do breath heavy" I did the forte treatment twice.. In my case it made no difference. Catch can= elephant mod?..
  11. It's a weird one that's for sure.. I've ordered some glow plugs.. As occasionally the car doesn't start first turn.. Although I don't think that will cure this issue.. As if I leave the car an hour then start it will puff blue .. It's only when the engine is up to full working temp that the smoke subsides, I've read somewhere that it's very uncommon for valve guides/ stem seals to generate this problem on a Diesel engine ( unlike a petrol ) something to do with the oil unable to be sucked through into the chambers.. Over fuelling might be the problem as diesel is an oily fuel.. But I'm not convinced.. Truth is I don't know enough about what I'm trying to diagnose.. Lol maybe I could change my wiper blades that might fix it.....
  12. Fault codes p0130 and po135 displayed on Friday with engine light on.. Cleared light .. Didn't reappear until cold start next morning.
  13. Hi all, I haven't posted for a while , well because I traded my 56 vrs tdi in for a early mk1 vrs petrol and it was near faultless. Anyway.. I've reversed the original trade and got my vrs tdi back ( because I love a challenge ;(.. On cold start up i get blue smoke.. This was always an issue with this car and the reason I got rid, during my first ownership ..it would smoke at start up and then at any point you idled the car regardless of engine temp ( traffic lights etc ) not bellows of the stuff but enough to annoy me.. Since then the new owner replaced turbo ( thought to be the culprit ) put on new cam belt, wpump,HG! The difference the changing of the turbo has made to the issue on start up is none.. But when up to temp it is almost smoke free ( but still stinks.. Maybe just because it's a deisel ) So I took it out got it up to temp.. Got home and sat and performed a 20 minute vigil at the rear of the car ( safe distance ) no noticeable blue smoke.. Turned off .. Jumped on the ps4 for 45 mins.. Went back out temp fallen to quarter ,restarted and blue smoke on idle again.? It's either me over thinking it.. Or it's complicated.. The cars had replacement injectors/ the dpf has been deleted.. I would hope engine wear isn't the issue on these engines.. Done about 100k mind. My thoughts are engine mapping following Dpf delete not correct? Injector pump issue, lift pump issue? But all this has been gained from google searches .. So im at your mercy any clarification would be appreciated.. Thanks for reading

  18. Hi all, as per pic these wheels were on my mk1 octy when I bought the car, wife refused to drive car with these on.. Hence this ad. They are in good condition due to being refurbd in I believe summer 2013, they have some marks to outer edges ( see pics ) Tyres are all very good. Adapters are 5x100 pattern I have no idea on et, offset or anything more technical than what is written on tyre walls.. They are genuine alloys not hollow Chinese versions.. They are staggered so 225 front , 245 rear.. Also they didn't rub or catch on my car.. ( lowered on coilovers )
  19. Hey all, exhaust ko'd .. Any body replaced with oem have any idea on cost? Or have you replaced with branded item? How much did you pay? Just want to get some idea as to what I'm likely to need..many thanks..
