Hi, May be a dumb question and I have searched but cannot find an answer. Should there be any illumination around the key hole for the ignition? My Forester does and as I am not used to the Skoda yet I end up messing around trying to get the key in. Should there be any illumination around the key hole? Ben

Mine comes off every time I pull it. Odd design.

Isn't that a normal function of most cars when you leave the sidelights on with the indicator on?

All, I have a 2005 Octavia Elegance with automatic wipers. Does the sensor also include the light sensor even though I do NOT have automatic headlights? If so, is it possible to have CH/LH lights programmed on? Ben

HI all, Does anyone know if the FL steering wheels will fit a pre FL car? My 05 Octavia has a steering wheel which is somewhat worn and extremely slippery. Any tips? Ben

Lovely little bikes. I was undecided between this and the RS250 back in the day. The RVF's had a massive premium though so went for the RS. I remember going to a place over Box Hill way who stocked loads of freshly imported RVF's. Such a nice looking machine. SOunds the dogs too.

Wow, many thanks all for the responses. So, I have no 'auto' on the stalk, BUT, one notch up once the engine is on makes the wipers go once only then nothing until water hits the screen. Tested and works a treat. Thanks all (despite being a nob and throwing water whilst stood in the drivers door area. Doh.....).

Hi guys, How do I know if I have these? I can see no obvious evidence of having them. The car is an 05 elegance. I have rear sensors, puddle lights, headlamp washers (which do nothing at present), and a multichanger in the boot, Any ideas? Should there be a switch to turn them on?

Have uploaded a quick video. The first 15 secs or so demonstrates the ticking wit the clutch in and then out. It's not as loud on the video as in real life as the mic on my phone gets a bit distorted if its too near.....

Cheers guys for the replies, It seems perfectly fine when doing a motorway run. No noise at all (on a 40 mile commute). It seems to get triggered after either giving it some or after lots of stop/start traffic (possibly because the general temp is on the up?) Ben

Hi all, I noticed tonight that my Octavia (1.9 PD) is making an odd noise. On tickover it is sounds like a steam train chugging along (bit like a tappet noise but not as metallic). It gets worse with rpm but gets more quite when the clutch is depressed. I thought it may be empty of oil but oil level is spot on. Any ideas?

Have always wanted a ZX7. Never got round to even riding one. Had to be one with the non-painted frame. Was never a fan of the black painted ones.
