Booked in for new coils, although after speaking to a mechanic there he reckons my problem may be air flow related, either a meter or an air leak

When was the recall? Is this something I can get done still if it hasn't been done?

I haven't got the foggiest. I've only just brought the car a few months ago and wasn't aware of a recall!

Morning folks, on the way into work this morning my car has started playing up, it's a 2006 petrol octavia vrs. What it's doing is idling low about 600-700 rpm and sort of chugging away then it'll rev slowly upto 1500-2000 rpm, hold it there for a few seconds then drop back down, repeats when stood still. When driving it seems fine. Any idea please? I meant to be going away in it tomorrow morning for the bank holiday weekend!
