Am told the front flexi pipe is split which requires the cat being replaced as well as centre section hanger being broken. Took it to Halfords for free check - their prices are too much so may check out VW Audi Workshop as you suggets - for a second opinion and quote. thanks

Hi I drive a 2004 Octavia Vrs and am toying with the idea of changing it for a Citigo MC. However I do love my Octavia. The Octavia is our second car and I use it to only commute 25 miles return each day and when you factor the cost of ownership, mpg, etc.etc. I wonder whether i might be better off with the Citigo. I just wondered if any Citigo owners had any thoughts on this and whether you could say how you find the drive/handling of the Citigo, and real world mpg. I have a pretty easy commute down the A12 and then into local town. Any help much appreciated. thanks Jim

Cheers Steve, yes I have done the rear tweeter trick but it is still the most awful sounding system, I thought it was bad in my last car! Have ordered some speakers for the rear and will do those if they come before the weekend, am not not expecting much as from what i can see it is the head unit which is the problem, but I quite like the original look, anyhow will see and then do the front speakers later. I have also ordered some new style badges to replace the originals as they were looking a bit worse for wear, am interested to see how they change the look. Yes I am really enjoying the car, thanks alot again Steve.

Hi, I know you don't buy these cars for their fuel efficiency but would be interested in what you guys get in the real world? I have had my authorisation from the mrs to buy a Vrs as a second car for me to commute to work, which is about 15 miles each way, half fast A12 main road, half into a town in normal slow moving traffic. Thanks!
