  1. There is an annoying rattle, right by my ear where the seatbelt is fed out from the vertically adjustable slot on the door pillar. Does anyone else have this? It seems like a fairly minor thing, but it is very annoying to have there all the time when driving and I can even hear it over music. The car is only 8 months old too so I think it is unacceptable. Can I have this sort of thing fixed under warranty?
  2. I checked this morning when I came in to work over a speed hump, and sure enough it did the creak sound, and it is definitely on the right hand side at the front. the dealership I have bought it off have said to bring it in to have it looked under warranty. They have also said they will refurbish a scuffed alloy.
  3. I spoke to the dealership and they have offered to refurbish it at their cost, which I think is very decent of them.
  4. I have a June 2012 Octavia 1.6 TDI SE Plus. I have noticed that when I go over a speed hump, my front suspension (it may be just the right side) make a fairly noticeable noise. It is a sort of crunchy sound, although it doesn't sound too bad, I just wonder what it could be and if it signifies a problem that needs to fixed under warranty.
  5. I think I will wait a bit before getting it done. I'm bound tro get some other marks before too long so might as well get the looking new again after a couple of years. I presume no harm will come to the wheel with a scratch like this? It can't corode, because the metal is solid alloy all the way through, right?
  6. Can anyone else confirm that this is the case with the Amundsen Plus - that you need it turned on for the scroll wheel to work on bluetooth?
  7. Well I'm ashamed to say that I didn't check the car over as thoroughly as I should. It was 6 months old and 13k on the clock, and seemed to be in pristine condition wherever I looked. It quickly got to the point where I was happy the car was immaculate, and I was also told that Škoda would not release it unless it was so. I'm hindsight I should have done more thorough checking, but to be fair this is a relatively small thing and the rest of the car seems perfect. Wardy- I live around the Bournemouth & Poole area in dorset. I'm keen to get it fixed as cheap as poss Thanks for the help everyone.
  8. I very recently (last couple of weeks) bought my Octavia Estate 1.6 TDI SE Plus. I have now noticed this scuff/gouge in one of the alloy wheels. The car was second had as it previously was owned by a retal company. Is this type of wear to be expected, or should I go back and complain (or is it too late now?). I did ask if there was any damage and they said no (obviously I checked myself, but missed this). I guess they can say I have done this since buying (I know that I have not). It doesn't overly bother me, other than if I should not have acceptabed this when I bought it and demanded they fixed it. Also, is there an easy way to fix it? I'm not fussed if it is still slightly noticable as I'm sure I'll put a few more on myself in time! But a cheap and easy way to make it better would help.
  9. I do realise it may have seemed like a bit of a stupid topic, but the reasons I was confused is just that every other car I have ever driven has NOT turned the lights off automatically when I have turned off the ignition and even removed the keys and locked the door. Instead there has been a warning alarm to remind me turn the lights off. It seems so simple to turn them off automatically like in the Skoa - in fact even more simple than having a warning alarm! So why don't all cars do this?
  10. When I lock and unlock my car, the lock inside the fuel cap area that restricts the fuel filler door being opened when the car is locked makes a quite loud grindy sound. It takes away from the nice "beep beep" the car makes when locking/unlocking, and more to the point makes me wonder if something is not quite right. Is this normal?
  11. OK, thanks BEK. Looks like this is common then and not a fault with just mine. I wonder if it is a software bug which should not happen, or whether it is just impossible for the bluetooth to access the phone completely without the Amundsen+ being on.
  12. Can anyone else please have a look at this? I called Škoda and they just want me to take it in to a dealership. Before that though it would be really helpful to know if it is definitely a fault. By the way, deleting and recreating the pairing didn't help. I am using an iPhone 5 and pairing it with my Octavia SE Plus, which has an Amundsen+ Unless the Amundsen is on, the scroll wheels on the MFSW do not work, other than for pressing them in as a button. You cannot scroll up or down.
  13. Well I asked the original question because every other car I have driven, the lights stay on when you turn the ignition off and take the keys out. Often there will be an alarm to warn you to turn them off, but I've never known them go off automatically.
