Very worthwhile mod that helps stop wheel hop.

You will have extra vibration up to about 1.5k rpm for the 1st few hundred miles.

Yes, and Id recommend the Superpro one. Hardly feels any different to stock vibration wise.

I have a powerflex dog bone mount coming off my car next week. It's done about 10k miles and is still quite a bit noisier than the OEM one all through the rev band. I do drive a diesel and that might be why it's so loud as there is alot more vibration from a diesel engine over the petrol. If we had another family car I wouldn't be changing it as it's great but I do a fair bit of milage with the family in the car and they complain about the noise especially when driving at a slow speed.

just did mine yesterday, does make a difference, and isnt difficult to do, the hardest part was getting the car jacked up properly as my trolley jack would barely go underneath the car!!! actually changing the bush was pretty easy, just a bit annoying getting the captive bolt back in after reassembly, use a vice if you can, would make it easier!

just the poly parts not the actual metal......does help tho!

Am still running it in at the moment, should get a better idea in a few hundred miles, vibration doesnt seem too bad at the moment however.

I think the vibrations are worse if the centre bolt is over tightened,

That would make sense, since you'd reduce the degrees of freedom and limits of movement in a flexible bush.

so how tight should it be?

Thats what I believe was happening. They were tightened up to you point that the end cap and actual mount were touching thus meaning the poly part wasnt actually offering any insulation.

I wonder if mine is too tight then. mine is bareable on the motorway but round town it's still very noisy and annoying

If it ain't vibrating it ain't working...........or the batteries are Knackered.
