I am glad I found this forum, got some helpful advice. Look forward to becoming a Skoda owner in the next few days after many years with Vauxhall Astra. I am retired and hopefully will enjoy my new car.

Brilliant - Can I ask what Skoda you are thinking about?

Trading the Astra in or buying and selling both independantly? - Take a look in the 'For Sale Section' for some nice cars that have been v.well looked after!

I used to have an Astra which i swore i loved to pieces, but Lissy is sooooooo much nicer to drive (and prettyer too)

Hi we recently bought a nearly new 2025 Skoda Enjaq 2025 85X and three weeks ago the following happened to my wife on a flat car park: I reversed into a parking space with empty spaces each side of the car. I elevated the P switch to red light position. I opened driver door and screen was on Goodbye. I got out of car and closed driver door. I opened rear right passenger door to remove a bag. Closed that door. Remembered I needed to turn off Interior Monitoring as dog was in the boot. Opened

I succefully retrofited eletric tailgate for my Octavia MK4 Estate What u will need Odis with online account or ODBEleven with PRO sub and Odis offline Control unit 5WB959107 from donor octavia mk4 or from diffrent car/new but u will need to flash correct dataset for this unit with ODIS Cableset https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005011673296593.html Bowden Motor for bowden should have same letter as bowden on IT Different lock for tailgate Interiour button on drivers door Button on tailgate S

Faults with windscreen wipers and lane assist

My 2023 Fabia started throwing up two faults. First the windshield wipers stop working and there's a fault about that. So far I have been able to get them started again by turning them on and off a few times. Then another fault happens in rapid succession and the lane assist stops working. I have an extended warranty until September but the dealer suggested it might be out of warranty because I recently had an oil service, MOT, and new tyres fitted at a local garage. Any advice welcome.

A heads-up... The fuel-filler flap on cars is not (normally) designed to provide waterproofness and, when it rains or the car is washed, water will find its way into the compartment area behind the flap. My 2009 Skoda Roomster's fuel-filler compartment has a drain-outlet directly below the filler-cap. The outlet's bore is quite large and any water collecting in the compartment rapidly drains away and disappears harmlessly behind the rear wheel-arch's plastic liner. My 2024 Skoda Fabia Mk4's f
