Injector Cleaners?

Featured Replies

are these ok to use with the 1.8t? im not planning on using them but there's always questions on other forums about them been used and whether there actually safe to use in engines but no one seems to have an authorative answer about it. i tend to run on 99ron so ive read that this is a good way to protect the engine as it burns cleaner and can clean out the chamber.

im talking about stuff like redex btw.

I used to use it in my mk3 Fiesta, took out the plugs and put a capful in each cylinder, reassembled and gave it a good rev...amazing amount of black crap comes out of the exhaust :rofl: Didn't seem to do the car any harm although I don't remember it feeling any different either.

I would'nt use it on the Skoda just because it's a newer car and I can't see the injectors being in need of a clean just yet. It should say on the bottle whether or not it's suitable for turbocharged engines.

I'd try forte injector cleaner one as a one off.

Go for a good long, fast drive :)

That'll clear it out. My Octavia doesn't do many miles but I can really feel a difference in the engine after a long Mountain biking road trip with several hours of driving on motorways.

I did this on my AX GT.... Holy cow it smoked up the whole road about 10ft high in thick white smoke for about a mile

Was so much fun we did my mates car with it too... happy days:rolleyes:

I used to pour redex into the carb' on my Capri... Oh how the neighbors love me.
