Rear visibility

Featured Replies

Apologies if this has already been discussed earlier - given that there are no rear wipers in Superb II - is rear windscreen heated? I sat in my friend's Beemer and he gleefully turned it on when the drizzle started :)

is this the start of an old joke?

Of course it is - have you seen a modern car without a heated screen to keep your hands warm when you push it.

It was a dumb question I agree, hence the apologies. But it was something I didn't bother checking when I did the test drive. Neither did I find any mention in the brochure.

gleefully??!

does your friend not get out much?

A brand new car brings out all sorts of emotions :)

Ah and my previous experience has only been with hatchbacks with rear wipers, hence the question.

yep, i can honestly say my use of rear window heater switch is usually pretty un-emotional...

its a very fair question, was just more taken by your gleeful friend!

Could be a new thread:

What buttons have you pressed gleefully :rofl:;):P

what or who's !!

I PRESSED THE SEND BUTTON ON MY EMAIL CONFIRMING MY SUPERB ORDER IN A SOMEWHAT GLEEFUL FASHION. does that count ??

Surely the new Superb wouldn't have a heated rear screen, it would have a heated bootlid.:rofl::rofl: The rear screen is a bit of a stretch to warm ones hands when pushing.:rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl: And to save you looking in the brochure, the bootlid is NOT heated.

Keith

3 yrs free AA cover included so pushing not required !!!!

If this is a serious question, how else would it demist in the winter. afaik the only ones not to have heated rear screens are some convertibles with plastic or glass screens.

You won't be needing that!

From http://www.skoda.co.uk/drivers/owners/breakdown_cover.aspx:

We've chosen the RAC to provide the service for us, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. It doesn't matter who's driving your Škoda, they can call if they're in trouble. And all new Škodas supplied by ŠkodaAuto in the UK are automatically entitled to the service, both over here and when driving in Europe.

thanks !!
