1250k-1750k RPM judder - Fabia Sdi

Featured Replies

How do guys. My standard fabia sdi (99k miles) has developed a judder around 1250k - 1750k RPM.

It judders under load around these revs and also judders on run down around these revs.

Its doing my nut in as its not a quick car and is normally driven within that rev range when cruising along. It makes the whole car shake as though Im not in a low enough gear.

I used to be able to be in 5 gear doing 35-40 but now I have to be in 4th to lift the revs up to 2k.

Do you have any idea what it might be?

Is you temperature guage working correctly.

These sorts of problems can often be assosciated with a faulty temperature sender I believe.

Also obvisouly general servicing will do it some good (new air filter, oil and filter etc).

Hope this helps.

Cheers, where is the temp sender?

I'm not exactly sure without looking in my felicia haynes (same engine as in the felicia).

I think it may be in the thermostat housing like the petrol models are but cant say for sure.

Do you think this fault would come up if it was plugged into the fault reading machines?

Had a quick look around the engine bay this morning, no obvious sign of any wires loose or corroded. Would it best to take it to the garage to get it plugged into the fault reader machine jobby?
