Fabia TDI 100 Thermostat Fault???

Featured Replies

Any help out there to diagnose a heating problem?

Symptom is that although temperature gauge performs and reads normally, heater will blow full temperature hot air and not respond to turning down control. Fault is intermittent, but can sometimes stay hot for 15 or 20 minutes driving before behaving normally. Also think I've seen it loose temperature and then correct after a few minutes. Could this be thermostat related or something more sinister (& expensive like control panel or heater matrix?

Any help appreciated!

Could be the control panel. I sold one for £50 recently and I imagine from a scrapper it's not going to be much more. They're £200 odd new though.

Sounds like a heater flap motor problem to me.
