My alloys

Featured Replies

At the moment, I have a set of Seat Leon Cupra multispoke 16s on my Fabia (see below). Now this isn't too upsetting given that I only paid £60 for them a year ago, but they don't look too great close up, and they're a nightmare to clean!

I quite like the look of them standing back though, and I've not seen any other Fabias with them. So...in the spring, when the roadsalt is hopefully gone, should I get them refurbed, or swap them for VRS 16s (which I also like), or get something else maybe? I'm no photoshop whizz, so if anybody wants to help then that'd be much appreciated

All comments welcome :)

that close-up looks fine unless you chose the wheel that's the best and the others are torn to shreds. :D bargain for £60.

I take it the lifter kit reached the outer isles fine then? :)

Love the colour of your car....wish they did a vRS in that colour.

As regards the wheels, I don't like them on the Leon, and they're no exception on yours...sorry.

Keep em!

I really like em and they're different.. don't get a set of vRS 16's...

Those would look awesome refurnished in Anthracite!

Best idea is just buy a Fabia VRS lol... Nice car though think the wheels look good on it

Them wheels look nice mate, id say keep and refurb em especially as they only cost ya £60, i also rekon they would be nice in anthracite ;-)

Yep, I'll own up to it, two of them are pretty much like that, two are pretty shonky  And yes, it did arrive, fitted in 5 mins, chuffed with it, thanks!

Fair enough, each to their own :) It's strange, some days I like them, but some days I'm bored and need a change... As to the colour, I was lucky to find it! Much prefer it to my old bright red 1.4. One day I might stick on a VRS front bumper, think it would look pretty good!

Thanks! One word...insurance! Nevermind, I'll have a VRS in a couple of years hopefully :)

I'm not a fan of anthracite tbh, should probably have mentioned that... I recall Wardy having a set of BBS Montreal's for sale, and I thought they looked gorgeous! :o

Jesus! And I thought mine were a pain in the *** to clean, wouldnt wanna be doin them with cotton buds.

Wheels look good - I think its that colour that doesnt match your car. Somethin darker

Wheels would be fine black and the car a bit nearer to the ground.

That's probably the main thing against them, I cleaned them earlier today and my wrists are still sore

Maybe just a tad darker, I'm actually quite happy with the colour. Something from the VAG stable would be preferred.

Thanks, but no thanks :o not a fan of black wheels if I'm honest...

And the roads here are crazy, going lower than 30mm = scraping, bangs, pain and expense.

Many thanks for all your input though guys, it's good to throw up some ideas  Any more?

How is this? Not my handywork I might add

Stone me!!

Wow, that looks much better than I tought it would :) Hmm, there might be some mileage in anthracite yet

Lol at the tinted windows!

Thanks to whoever was responsible :)

On a similar note, what is a typical cost of a decent wheel refurb/powdercoating?

Usually around £50 a wheel but you might find shopping around up that way quite tough.

I've got to add approx £50 transportation costs onto any price, or maybe slightly less as I know a few folk who drive for haulage companies.

I'm going to get them done in January or February, if my wallet has recovered from it's recent beating by then :o
