The basic LCD trip computer is fitted to the 'S' spec Superb II and Octy II Ambiente models. It actually has dual trips and records the following:-

Average speed

Trip distance

Actual MPG

Average MPG

Range (remaining miles until tank empty)

In addition to displaying one of the above at any given time, the trip computer also shows the Odometer reading and time.

I believe that Maxidot is a more advanced trip computer fitted to Superb II 'SE' and 'Elegance' models, as well as Octy II 'Elegance' models and higher. The display is a more attractive reversed LCD covering a larger part of the instrument display. There are more features and the ability to change some electronic settings ie enabling/disabling the indicators three flashes to one touch of the stalk.

Maxidot is a relatively inexpensive and popular option. I am specifiying it on my next Skoda.
