some wally has just knocked my wing mirror but only managed to crack the glass and not the shell, skoda sell the glass for £26 but I was just wandering if the same glass can come from a vw/seat car, maybe a golf/polo please shed some light on this

Which mirror? I'm in the opposite boat and have a cracked mirror case here with good glass in it (driver's side mirror) - I don't believe it has the heater element in it though.

Get it from Skoda as although the glass is the same cut, the mounting bracket is different. Think I posted on here which VAG group cars mirror glass should fit the fabia, from memory I think older Audi's were the same. If I was you, just buy the Skoda
