hi could any one who knows please advise me , we have a seat Alhambra which is just the same as galaxy,Sharon accepting trim and engine differences. now the local garage have a galaxy with a knacked engine which will be scraped i have been told i can have what ever i want of the car so i went and got all the obvious stuff like lights, wipers, seats, door light switches, tow bar, rear doors, wife likes scraping past gate posts , what can i say s t happens, wheels and tyres, what else could i salvage before it goes to the big car park in the sky any advice/help would be good thanks

Dash pod as when these go wrong they are not cheap

probably some of the sensors, the MAF it it's in good condition. Wiper linkage and arms.

Alternative would be to plonk a 2nd hand engine in it and run it/flog it.

ECU could be worth taking I guess. Fuse box. Maybe the steering rack if not too difficult to get at.

ECU would depend on the engine as the glalxy and Sharan/alhambra did not use all the same engine in the same capacity unit.

for example the 1.9l tdi, may be a TDCI unit in the galaxy and a PD unit in the Sharan. so I would do my research for that part.

Parts you could take without too much hassle would be most of the interior, washers, wiper motors and arms, washer fluid and coolant reservoirs, wheels.

(when all the versions of the shalaxbra were facelifted, the interiors were remodelled differently to each other, but i am guessing it is a pre facelfit model)

Some of the Ford Galaxy got VW TDI engines.

cheers for all in put it is pre face lift and my seat is tdi and the ford was v6 will look at all items mentioned thanks once again. the MFA might be worth having the tdi goes good most of time but try flooring it and it all goes pear shaped cuts out you then have to switch of ignition then restart and all seams fine again till next time.

Sounds more like a sticky VNT turbo to me that you're suffering from.
