Ordering New Karoq for Sept Delivery - What Options ?
Last time I had a heated screen was in 1990 on a Sierra Ghia. Soon got used to the elements & didn't find them distracting. Given that was 36 years ago, I find it staggering that it's not a standard fitment across every manufacturer/model, given the safety implications. But I may be prejudiced as my mother was wiped out by a "letterbox" merchant. ☹️

Ordering New Karoq for Sept Delivery - What Options ?
Five new 1.5 DSG cars here for £28k. Whatever you do, beware of options tipping over the £40k retail threshold for £600pa VED.

Ordering New Karoq for Sept Delivery - What Options ?
The question over the variable floor is because I was adamant I wanted one & passed on several vehicles until I found one. But it was just to remove the step over the back seats. I subsequently found that if you buy or spec the 16" spare wheel, this effectively also raises the floor. While the variable floor does allow a little more space, it limits the spare to the ultra skinny 18". That is a good price for a factory order but I paid £28.3k including metallic, spare wheel & variable floor for an unregistered car. If you can find a pre-reg that will save you an additional £595 on the first year road tax.

Ordering New Karoq for Sept Delivery - What Options ?
Do you actually need a variable floor or are you just wanting to level out the big step when the rear seats are folded? There are huge numbers of unregistered cars in the dealer network with significant discounts, especially if you're prepared to travel to buy. I got £8k off the list price for the same spec this time last year, but no idea how that would translate on finance. Look at Autotrader as the same cars are listed cheaper there than via Skoda's web site. If you want extras then probably better buying a Sportline. Simply adding the matrix headlights to an SEL takes it to nearly the same price as a Sportline, especially as the metallic paint is £680 on an SEL & FOC on a Sportline. Of course that's also a lot more to go wrong if you're planning on keeping it long term.

Mirror fallen away from windscreen.
Look for an independent glass specialist rather than a chain & get someone to actually look at it, rather than their computer screen. It looks to me like the bonding to the screen is fine, it's the housing that's separated.

2 year service + brake fluid + Aircon service
You're being bent over. For some bizarre reason Skoda's pricing changes by vehicle age. At my local dealer, which seems mid-priced, a fluid change on a 2-year-old car costs £65. The same fluid change on a 4-year-old car costs £91. So a 40% premium for exactly the same job on exactly the same car. Find yourself an indy to do it.

Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC)
@croquemonsieur Lane Assist is inactive below 37 MPH, so not an issue on roundabouts. It also needs to "see" a clearly defined centre line AND nearside boundary. If one is absent the system again deactivates.

Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC)
Semi-permanent in that you can turn it off, but it automatically re-enables on restart. Not sure what issue you perceive with "ordinary" roads?

A useful tagline that serves to alert you that the following wall of text is likely complete cobblers. * Other "experts" are available.

Space saver wheel size
Just to throw in what I understand. There are two foam kits. One for the 16" & one for the 18". The 16" accepts a full width 215 tyre whereas the 18" only accepts the skinny 125. The upshot of this is that the 16" will raise the boot floor pretty much level with the boot lip. Some see this as an advantage for ease of loading & closer match to the folded rear seats, others bemoan the loss of space. The 18" is designed for 4x4 or vehicles with the variable boot floor. I believe the 16" is a 6.5J wheel whereas the 17 & 18" are 7J & the 19" in 8J. I suspect that the 8J may sit proud of the foam. So the 215/60/16 is probably the best choice for least space & a good match for the overall diameter of the 225/40/19.

Reversing Camera image oddity
Agreed, the system has simply overlaid the message on the bottom of the image, giving the appearance of a slight crop.

Radio stations Logos database updates
I'm guessing that what @JPMK8 means by manual installation is that updating the Phonostar database by USB doesn't automatically assign the logos. You have to go to the individual stations & update the logo from there, which will then show the logo from the update. At least that's what I've found.

Skoda Karoq 1.0Tsi 2018
A dealer tech on one of the FB groups has the opinion that meddling with the setup is potentially more damaging than leaving it alone. Of course if it's done completely by the book with the correct parts & tools, that shouldn't be the case, but... He also reckons he's never seen an instance of a petrol Karoq with a snapped belt.
