Dell 2407WFP A03, whats it worth?

Featured Replies

Thinking of selling my 24" Dell monitor and i can't seem to put an accurate price on it? Some info:

Bought December 2006 from Dell for £566:eek:

Boxed with instuctions and cables (i think i can find it)

No dead pixels etc and shows about 2477 hrs on the service menu.

Reason for selling: just bought a PS3 and this wont do 1:1 pixel mapping like the later A04:mad:

What do you think its worth?

Does it have height adjustability? I can never remember Dell's model naming system but the good ones with height adjustability would go for about £350 and the ordinary ones without height adjustability would probably struggle to get £150. The problem is that you can now buy a new (non height adjustable) Dell 23" panel for £170 and the 24" ones are only about £225.

I'm looking at a 30" but I know that in 2 years time the 30" ones will be £250 so I'd take a bath at resale time (it's £1000 now) and that's really what's putting me off.

The WFP's have height adjustment.

The new model ( 2408 ) is around £420 still. The ultrasharps kick *** :) I now have a 2709W.

Although you can also get a 24" dell non ultrasharp HD for £250.

So pretty hard to put a price on it.

Dell S2409W 24" Widescreen True HD LCD Monitor - Black

24" Widescreen Dell is £225 for the cheaper one or £411 for the height adjustable one. Unfortunately you will need to find someone who wants the better quality display, but I'd say £300-ish would be about right, and be prepared to wait a good while to shift it.

Thanks for your advice, i'll try selling it soon.

That new Dell 24" looks great

I just bought a 22" LG 2252TQ to replace an aging 17" CRT and just saw this thread a little late. Great monitor but not height adjustable. Not an issue for me but may pose a problem for other people.

Post a few specs up like resolution, VGA/DVI height adjustable etc.... that'll help to drum up interest.

Dell 2407WFP Ultrasharp

Res: 1920x1200

Connections: DVI/VGA/Component/s-video

Height adjustable stand, built in card reader/USB.

Still has 1 year replacement service, although i'm not sure if its transferable?

I have it for sale elsewhere at the moment, so i'm going to wait to see if there is any interest, whilst also working out which TV to replace it to give me an idea of much i need to sell it for.

Thanks for replies so far.
