Spare Key

Featured Replies

Just bought a 2000 Fabia with only one key, and no tags, codes etc (lost 2 owners ago:confused:.

Is it possible to get a spare key without these bits?

Yoddom

Yes from Skoda. Would need coding by them also.

I thought that was only if the car had remote locking?

The immobilizer will need coding, that has nothing to do with remote locking.

yeah skoda will do it.. takes them about 30mins

will cost a pretty penny though.. around £100 IIRC

You need only VIN code to order a new key

In Russia it's RUR 2500 (£60)

If the code tag is lost, the dealer sends a request to Skoda to obtain the immobilizer login

it's 900 RUR (£20)

Seen quite a few of the remote Skoda keys (like my own) on ebay. Can these be programmed too? saving a bit of money.

They dont have access to the login anymore, the key is coded online direct with the factory.
