  1. One of my rear parking sensors had started to corrode in the centre. I had a spare that came with the car when I bought it so swapped that over today. Managed to get to it by just loosening off the under tray and working by feel. Straight plug and play swap and all tested working. Kept the old one as a backup spare it still works.
  2. Unfortunately the great @ApertureS hasnt been active on the forums since a house move in 2024. A great Loss to the community as he was a treasure trove of information. His car is still mot’d and hasn’t changed hands so hopefully all is well With him and life has just moved on. I don’t have this fault per se but I do have the memory fault. What I’ve scanner do you have? I use carscanner app with the icar pro module and can code and do all sorts with it. It’s a great cheap tool. If you are preparing it for sale then your best best option might be to find a local VAG independent garage who can diagnose and fix it quickly for you. PS I don’t suppose you want to swap it for a 2016 2.0tdi?! 😂
  3. The bulbs are shaped to mimic xenon beam spread. And being in projector globes I think it limits this issue as it controls the reflection more. I’ve had the bulbs in over 6 months and not anyone flash me so I’m taking that as meaning that they are ok! If I get issues or it gets pulled up at MOT then of course I will Change back to xenon
  4. Search for adblue delete. Not sure where in the country you are but this was the first hit on google. Not a recommendation. Skoda AdBlue Delete | NOx Delete | SCR Delete | LeicesterSkoda Adblue Removal Specialist in Leicester. We offer custom Adblue / NOx / SCR Delete Services for Skoda Octavia, Fabia, Yeti, Rapid and others. P20EE, P20E8 When I bought mine it had already been done.
  5. Code it out and worry no more
  6. keeping them in. All the lights are now LED and without taking things apart there is no way of seeing, especially with the headlights inside the globes. MOT testers are not allowed to dismantle stuff to inspect things anway, so as long as they point in the right direction and are the right colour they won't know!
  7. Next best alternative I think would be someone like towsure and get an aftermarket removable one. You can get aftermarket pop out ones too.
  8. Yes I wonder if they were bedded in one side then swapped around if that could cause vibration. Now at 160 miles on the new pads and discs and all good so far!
  9. Did you get all the bits sorted? Hope you got on ok in France!
  10. @East_Yorkshire_Retrofits have OEM folding towbars for kodiaq listed on their website. they may well do for superb too. These are priced about £1500
  11. I had a flickering headlight. Swapped ballasts and it stayed in same place. I found the torx screws on the ballasts quite difficult to get to. I wiser if you have an 90degree bit holder or Allen key type torx bits. I then Changed bulb and all good. I upgraded to LED bulbs. They’ve been brilliant although I did have a faulty one (I suspect I damaged it trying to install it) but the supplier replaced FOC under warranty. Been perfect ever since and a nice upgrade. A pair is significantly cheaper than one HID! https://ebay.io/m/1DxukA Just a pain in the bum to fit. Wheel off, arch liner out. Hopefully won’t have to change them again for a fair while!
  12. Kiss point is point in the clutch movement where the clutch faces touch. Used to determine clutch pressures/ release points when changing gear etc. might be that? Adaptation of the dsg includes configuring kiss points among other things.
  13. Hmm I guess it must have been an option. Rear heated seats and 3 zone climate was only standard on L&K models I think.
  14. They are sided in that the one with crescent cut out go behind the disc and the one without goes in front of the disc.
  15. Just recently changed the front brakes on my superb, and noticed that both the inner and outer pads had circles on them showing they had been in contact with the brake cylinder. Also shows paint from when callipers were painted so must have been in the wrong position when that was done. someone had put the outer in the inner position and vice versa. And then at some point they had been swapped round and installed correctly. Easy to do on the left if you don’t read the instructions so I thought. What’s more confusing is on the right side it was the same. This side has the wear indicator and the wire isn’t long enough to install on the wrong side. So is this a mark from the cylinder or something else. 🤔 I wonder if part worn brake pads being put into different position might be what created the brake wobble?!
