Offset?!?

Featured Replies

Hey guys

Just a quick one, whats the offset limits for a Fabia vRS? Just found some Merc rims i want, The offset seems abit low considering im going to have to run adapters.

So if anyone can help me with Offset for my Fabia that would be . . . erm . . . fab! :D

What is the offset?

Erm . . . 41 but they're Merc fitment so id need adapters

Looking at afew TBH so just want to know what the limits are?!?

:)

vrs 35 so 6 either way should be ok.

You sure on those numbers?

Thanks! :)

OK, so you need a few bits of information:

The offset of the wheels you want to fit (41)

The width of the wheels

The width of the adaptors you're going to use

Then you can see the whole picture. I can't see there being an issue, subject to them not being a stupid width, using with very wide adaptors :)

Ok, so its a Fabia vRS

The wheels are Merc (so id have to run 5x100 to 5x112 adapters) and the width of them is 7.5j and the adapters . . . well, you tell me what i'll need for it to fit?

Cheers

Depends what decent quality adaptors are available really, and what thicknesses are available. Using a 10mm spacer will drop the offset by 10 for example, to 31 in this case.

To give you some comparision Audi Avus-II wheels from the last S3 are a 7.5J and 32 offset, and they fill the Fabia arches very well.

I'd personally go upto a 15mm spacer, but see what's available out there....

I run et 20ish (will get sizes tomorrow) on a 17x8.5" when the Antera's are on.

5x112, 20mm adaptors.

Lowered quite a bit.

Arch work needed.

And on the Mercs 17x8"

They were running ET35 with the 20mm adaptors. So ET15

That'll give you a rough guide to how far they will be sitting out.
