I will never be able to afford a Superb but today while at the dealer getting my Fabia booked in I had a peek. Sat in the driver seat closed the door and I was in heaven, greats seats and lovely dash. I also had a sort of panic attack, I put my left leg on the clutch and they were no clutch lol it had a DSG. Then I sat in the back and relaxed and stretched out, you guys who can afford these are lucky bast.........er people.

give it a couple of years and they will be very good 2nd hand buys. depreciation on any car at the moment is going to be high. the skoda is starting from a lower price so used prices will be very keen !

Bobbed down to my local dealer (Simpson Preston) with my Octy and they had a superb 2 with all the options fitted sat within the showroom and i have to say it was brilliant. Really comfy and the dash looks top with the white background.

I`d love to get one snapped up once there`s a few second hand ones on the market as they will be a bargain if this recession carrys on.

Sadly they won't, even in todays market, I can 100% say that a list price 22k Superb will be 16k on a dealer still in 2 yrs time.

I'm waiting for some peeps to buy a few 3.6's! Thats the one I want, but I'm not paying 26k odd!!!

I don't think you will like it tbh, they do the rear link bars in and the screens crack for no reason, if it's a CDTi they are lots of hassle also, so if you choose that route buy a 2.2 Direct Elite model, better in some respects to a Superb but I think the whole look of it will make you say I wish I'd got another Superb, and I love VX cars so I wouldn't put you off for no reason, but the Vectra sadly never got the attention it should've, it got saddled with diesel engines that are unreliable due to emissions laws and has a few weak spots, but on the upside they hold up real well in a smash and can be bought nearly new for 7k.
