Superb II S quick review

Featured Replies

Now that I've spent few hours running around town and on the motorway, a few quick notes about my Superb S 140PD. Mostly no surprises:

- Did get the chrome windows surround that look good with Rosso Brunello

- The ride is comfortable with the default 16" though I can't say how good/bad it is compared with 18" that I test drove. And they don't look unusually small or odd.

- Steering is quite responsive both in town and motorway journey

- Sitting in, the car doesn't feel that big and the interior somehow wraps around to give the illusion of being in a smaller car. Except when parking, where sensors are a great help

- Boot space is awesome and twindoor has drawn quite a lot of attention from neighbours :)

My only disappointment right now is with the missing stowage compartment for spectacles overhead. The compartment is actually there minus the button to open it. The owner's manual has starred it to indicate it may not be available on all models, but come on SUK how costly would it be to add a button

I used to keep my glasses in the little stowage box, I had this annoying rattle and could not trace it and it seemed to be coming from the passenger side. Emptied the glove box, did that clear it........No! It was driving me to distraction.........until I took them out to use and that annoying rattle was cured. So I keep my glasses in the "Jumbo" box now.

Yes that's exactly where I've decided to keep them now. Oh well :)
